Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Urwerk Kicks Off 2025 with the UR-100V Hunter Green

Showcasing the Brand’s Craftsmanship in Titanium

Urwerk Kicks Off 2025 with a Striking Addition to the Renowned UR-100V Collection: The UR-100V "Hunter Green." Despite its name, this watch challenges conventional notions of the green we know. According to the brand, it is designed to redefine color perception. Green? Yes, but not quite. Grey? Not exactly. Under light, this edition reveals an ash-green shade, subtly metallic and elegantly sophisticated, exuding a distinctly British character. The unique design of the UR-100V "Hunter Green" embodies this exceptional color from case to bracelet, perfectly representing excellence in form and material.

The new watch is crafted entirely from titanium, treated with advanced techniques to achieve the desired hue. The UR-100V collection continues its legacy as Urwerk’s experimental lab for materials, incorporating high-tech carbon, steel, even adorned with diamonds, and hand-finished blued metal. Renowned for its innovative time display and cosmic functions, the collection now welcomes the bold and refined "Hunter Green" edition.

The case of this watch is made from titanium, treated with sandblasting and shot-blasting techniques, giving it a unique texture and meticulous finish. The case measures 41 mm in diameter, 49.70 mm lug-to-lug, and 14 mm in thickness, achieving the perfect balance between bold presence and wrist comfort. The sapphire crystal ensures superior clarity and excellent scratch resistance, while the screw-down crown at 6 o'clock, the case provides water resistance up to 30 meters.

Shot blasting is one of the most effective surface preparation methods wherein irregularities on the metal’s surface are removed through abrasion. The centrifugal force generated by the rotation causes balls with a diameter of 0.2 to 3.0mm (which can be made of materials such as casting, cutting, or stainless steel) to be projected onto the surface.
This process is different from sandblasting as shot blasting uses a centrifugal wheel, while sandblasting uses compressed air to blast out quartz sand at high speed.

The UR-100V Hunter Green Edition adopts the principle of displaying hours and minutes without traditional hands. Instead, the wandering hours, a satellite traverses along a graduated circle. The first satellite indicates the hours, while the second denotes the minutes. Once an hour satellite completes its 60-minute journey, the next hour-bearing satellite appears before the minute index.

The UR-100V not only displays time in a distinctive way but also features two unique counters. The first shows the 555 kilometers covered by the Earth in 20 minutes as it rotates on its axis, while the second displays the 35,740 kilometers the Earth travels in the same period as it revolves around the Sun.

At the core of this timepiece lies the self-winding UR 12.02 caliber, a feature shared with previous models in the UR 100 collection such as the UR-100V Stardust and UR-100V Time and Culture II and the UR-100 LightSpeed. Guided by a Windfänger airscrew, this caliber regulates the movement's speed, operating on the principle of air resistance. As the airscrew rotates, it interacts with the surrounding air, creating a drag force that stabilizes and controls the oscillation rate of the movement.

This movement not only demonstrates technological prowess but also reliability. Equipped with 40 jewels, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz, ensuring precise and smooth performance. With a power reserve of 48 hours, this movement seamlessly integrates innovation and functionality, exemplifying the craftsmanship and engineering excellence embodied by the timepiece. The remarkable rotor on the back of the timepiece is reminiscent of the Sun's rays, inspiring the overall design of the watch.

The watch comes with Titanium with 32 sand-blasted and shot-blasted links, LImited to 35 pieces only, the new edition is priced at CHF 58,000 which is equivalent to 235,400 AED.
