Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Omega Expands the Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades Collection with New 38mm Models

Without Any Official Announcement, Omega Adds New Pink and Purple Dials to Its Website

The Seamaster Aqua Terra is a superb tribute to Omega’s rich maritime heritage and one of the most successful collections, featuring a wide range of sub-collections designed to appeal to watch enthusiasts. In 2022, Omega launched the Seamaster Aqua Terra ‘Shades’ collection, which included 38mm and 34mm models in a variety of vibrant dial colors. This collection forwent the signature Aqua Terra “teak” grooved horizontal pattern, inspired by luxury sailboat decks, in favor of a glossy lacquered finish.

Just a year later, Omega revisited the 38mm models and added framed date windows, significantly enhancing the aesthetic appeal. Now, the release of two new 38mm Seamaster Aqua Terra ‘Shades’ watches in lavender and shell pink brings these colors, which were previously limited to the smaller cases, to the larger 38mm models.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra collection now includes models in the 38mm size, which sits between the 41mm and 34mm versions. All models are made of 316L stainless steel, and the case thickness is 12.4mm. The conical crown is engraved with the screw-down Omega symbol to ensure water resistance to 150 meters. The watch is protected by a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

The purple and pink dials of these new releases forgo the signature Aqua Terra “teak” grooved pattern in favor of a glossy lacquered finish. The dial base is made of brass and features a sun-brushed finish from the center. These models retain their traditional trapezoidal date window, triangular indices, and arrow hands, which are rhodium-plated.

Powering the watches is the in-house Master Chronometer Caliber 8800. Each watch features an exhibition caseback, allowing the movement to be easily viewed. These in-house calibers operate at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour (3.5 Hz). The movement is equipped with two barrels in series, providing a power reserve of 55 hours. Omega's Co-Axial escapement and strong resistance to magnetism (up to 15,000 gauss, thanks to the silicon balance spring) ensure exceptional performance.

The Master Chronometer certification, overseen by METAS, guarantees top-tier quality, precision, and magnetic resistance. Initially, the movement is tested by COSC for precision (-4/+6 seconds per day). Subsequently, the watch and its movement undergo eight rigorous Master Chronometer tests (0/+6 seconds per day).

Both Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m models are offered with a brushed/polished 3-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. They are priced at USD 6,600, equivalent to 24,400 AED.
