The Limited Edition Superocean Heritage Featuring a Red Dial and Golden Bezel
Breitling has always celebrated various countries and cities around the world by presenting special editions. It has used its extensive collection of watches to offer exclusive models that reflect the designs of the regions they represent. We have seen many examples of this on the Waqt platform, such as the Chronomat Breitling editions for the UAE and the Middle East, the Avenger Chronograph edition for the United States, and the Superocean Heritage B20 edition designed exclusively for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Now, Breitling returns with the Superocean Heritage collection to present a special edition for one of the most famous cities in Europe: Amsterdam. This special edition, created in honor of the city’s 750th anniversary, celebrates its rich history and maritime heritage. The watch features a striking red dial inspired by the city’s flag, along with a custom caseback engraved with a map of its iconic canals. This edition is limited to just 75 pieces.
The watch boasts a 42mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 14.35mm, and 1950s-inspired curved lugs. Notably, the unidirectional diving bezel is now crafted from pink gold and coated with black ceramic inserts. As a diving watch, it is equipped with a screw-down crown and a screwed caseback, engraved with the canals of Amsterdam. The watch offers an impressive water resistance of 200 meters. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, ensuring durability and clarity.
The red dial complements the luxurious elegance of the golden bezel, featuring a captivating sunburst finish. The dial design stays true to its vintage roots, with triangular hands and applied polished golden hour indices coated in white Super-LumiNova.
The chapter ring also features luminous markers for optimal readability in low-light conditions. A discreet date window sits at 6 o’clock, blending seamlessly into the design with its black background and white numbers.
At its heart lies the B20 automatic movement, developed in collaboration with Tudor. This COSC-certified chronometer beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a robust 70-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable performance for everyday wear.
The watch comes with a black rubber strap and a stainless steel folding clasp. Limited to just 75 pieces, this exclusive model is priced at EUR 6,950, which is equivalent to 26,600 AED.
