A Chronograph Featuring Hand-Decorated Guilloché Dials
After the brand was revived in 2012, Czapek reaffirmed its prestigious position in the world of luxury watches, introducing a remarkable range of collections, including the “Faubourg de Cracovie”, which features exceptional chronograph watches. Today, Czapek continues to innovate with a new release in two unique colors from this collection “Crossroads Secret Alloy” and “Crossroads Deep Blue”, reflecting its commitment to excellence and creativity.
The Czapek features a 41.5 mm stainless steel case that is meticulously crafted, combining durability and elegance. The sapphire crystal glass is enhanced with an anti reflective treatment, ensuring an optimal view of the dial while protecting it from scratches. The sapphire case back also benefits from an anti reflective treatment on the inner side, allowing a clear view of the complex movement inside. Additionally, with water resistance up to 50 meters, the crown is positioned in its traditional location at 3 o’clock, surrounded by guards that separate it from the chronograph pushers integrated at 2 and 4 o’clock.
The watch offers a choice of grey or blue dials, each featuring a hand crafted guilloché pattern known as “Crossroads.” The dial's shape nods to its racing heritage, with a tachymeter scale printed in white around the edges, complemented by a black ring surrounding a white one that has a black minute track for easy reading. The grey dial includes blued steel baton indexes and hands, while the blue dial features silver steel baton indexes and hands, and a red-tipped central seconds hand for both versions. A 30 minute chronograph subdial is positioned at 3 o’clock, with a 12 hour subdial at 9 o’clock, along with a small seconds hand and printed indexes at 6 o’clock that integrate a date window. The hour and minute hands, along with the hour indices, are coated with Super LumiNova for enhanced legibility in all lighting conditions.
The watch is powered by the Calibre SXH3, an exceptional automatic chronograph movement developed by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier in 2018 specifically for Czapek's Faubourg de Cracovie line. This movement showcases a column wheel, vertical clutch, and linear zero-resetting hammer, ensuring precise and smooth operation of the chronograph functions. Operating at a high frequency of 36,000 vph (5Hz), it enables accurate measurements to 1/10 of a second while enhancing stability. With 65 hours power reserve, The craftsmanship is highlighted by the beautifully sand blasted, diamond-polished bridges in an anthracite hue that contrasts strikingly with the 18-carat rose gold rotor.
It comes with either an alligator or Alcantara strap with a steel pin buckle. The grey dial version is a limited edition of 50 pieces, while the blue dial is part of the permanent collection. Both are priced at CHF 36,000, equivalent to AED 158,400.
