In conjunction with Geneva Watch Week 2025, Jacob & Co. unveiled a special edition of its “The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone” watch, created as a tribute to Bollywood icon Salman Khan. Today, we take a closer look at this remarkable timepiece. This edition continues the theme of honoring familial bonds, drawing inspiration from another father-son story. Just as Jacob Arabo received his first dual-time watch from his father, this model pays homage to Salman Khan’s father, the legendary Indian screenwriter Salim Khan.
It is a specific type of material treatment characterized by its transformation into a blue color without the use of any coating. This color change is achieved by exposing the material to high temperatures, typically between 300 and 350 degrees Celsius, which results in the formation of an oxide layer on its surface. This oxide layer reflects light in a manner that creates a striking blue hue.
Bluing is often used on watch hands, screws, and other small components. It is highly valued for its aesthetic appeal, adding a touch of elegance and luxury to the overall watch design.
