The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Introducing Bell & Ross Unveils the BR-X3 Collection

Two new releases powered by a Kenissi movement expand the X-series

Bell & Ross was founded in 1992 and quickly earned credibility by supplying pilot watches to the French Air Force. This role cemented its reputation for creating functional and reliable timepieces, firmly establishing its connection to aviation. Over the years, the brand developed its own distinctive design language with the famous “circle within a square,” inspired by cockpit instruments. This aviation heritage has continued to evolve through contemporary collections such as the BR 03 and BR 05, as well as the more experimental X-series. The latest chapter in this family is the BR-X3 collection, which pushes the iconic silhouette into a new, more technical era.

The collection builds on the signature square-within-a-circle design but introduces greater structural complexity. Its case measures 41mm by 41mm, with a thickness of 13.3mm. Two versions are available: the Blue Steel, crafted in satin-finished and polished stainless steel with blue anodized aluminum accents, and the Black Titanium, made of micro-blasted grade 2 titanium with black rubber accents.

The layered construction features a central circular barrel framed by four corner pillars, with visible screws securing the top and bottom plates. A circular bezel rests on a colored plinth, adding visual depth. Crown guards protect the screw-down crown, while sapphire crystals on both sides safeguard the case. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

The multi-layer dial is anchored by an X-shaped metallic frame, set over either a blue sunray-finished base (steel version) or a matte black varnished base (titanium version). Functional elements include a wide date display at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator with “E” and “F” markings at 9 o’clock. Oversized numerals at 12 and 6, luminous indices, and semi-openworked hands coated with Super-LumiNova X1 ensure excellent legibility.

The watch is powered by the BR-CAL.323, an automatic movement developed in collaboration with the Swiss manufacturer Kenissi. It is COSC-certified, and operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 70-hour power reserve. Notably, Kenissi is co-owned by Chanel and Tudor, with Chanel also holding a majority stake in Bell & Ross.

Each version is paired with a ventilated rubber strap, blue for the steel edition and black for the titanium, secured with a pin buckle in matching metal. The BR-X3 Blue Steel is priced at CHF 7,000 (approx. AED 32,600), while the Black Titanium retails for CHF 7,700 (approx. AED 35,700).
