The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Hands on The World Is Yours Tourbillon by Jacob & Co.

The design that inspired Jacob to begin his journey in haute horlogerie

First unveiled in 2023, The World Is Yours marked a pivotal moment for Jacob Arabo, who described it as the watch that truly began his journey into haute horlogerie. Following the success of the inaugural edition, Jacob & Co. now presents the second generation, a fresh design built around the same central concept, a flying tourbillon at the heart of the watch. Executed once again in Jacob’s favorite blue-and-gold color scheme, it carries the bold signature aesthetic that has become synonymous with the brand.

Among the highlights is The World Is Yours Tourbillon, a timepiece that must be experienced on the wrist to fully appreciate its allure. Crafted in rose gold, it embodies both luxury and Jacob’s distinctive imagination. This edition is limited to just 199 pieces.
Notably, a special steel version was also created for Bollywood icon Salman Khan, an unusual material choice for Jacob & Co. featuring the colors of the Indian flag on the dial.

The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon retains the 43 mm case diameter of its predecessor, this time in rose gold. Its profile, dictated by the movement’s shape, rises from 10.4 mm at the edges to 18.1 mm at the center. The result is a highly curved, sculptural case that wears more elegantly than its measurements suggest.

Unlike many Jacob creations with crowns positioned on the caseback, this model places the crown traditionally at 3 o’clock. The blue sapphire crystal caseback not only reveals the continuation of the world map but also enhances the artistic depth of the piece.

On the wrist, the interplay of polished gold and deep blue creates a striking visual impact. The dial is minimalist yet rich in detail, with the flying tourbillon commanding the center while two sub-dials display independent time zones.

Crafted from titanium, the dial is meticulously stamped to achieve its curvature. A laser then engraves the relief of the continents, which are treated with a PVD blue coating. Another laser removes the coating from the landmasses, later finished in 5N rose gold. The Atlantic Ocean dominates the center, bordered by the Americas on one side and Africa, Asia, and the Arabian Peninsula on the other. Meanwhile, the remaining regions appear in gold on the sapphire caseback.

Both sub-dials can be set independently down to the minute, accommodating non-standard time zones such as India’s +5:30 offset. The sub-dial at 12 o’clock features Roman numerals, while the one at 6 o’clock uses Arabic numerals, both with rose gold-plated hands inclined at 64° to follow the dial’s curvature.

The centerpiece is a 30-second double-axis tourbillon, visible beneath a sapphire bridge and aligned with a compass rose motif. This complication not only heightens the visual drama but also requires greater movement height compared to the original World Is Yours Dual Time Zone.

Driving the watch is the newly developed JCAA45 caliber, created specifically for this model. For the first time, Jacob & Co. integrates an off-centered micro-rotor, crafted from solid 950 platinum, into an automatic movement. The revised architecture allows the tourbillon to sit at the very center of the mechanism.

Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), the movement powers two independent hour-and-minute sub-dials and offers a robust 65-hour power reserve.

The watch is completed with a blue alligator leather strap, secured by an 18k rose gold folding clasp. Limited to 199 pieces. Priced at USD 230,000 or equivalent to 844,745 AED.
