In conjunction with Geneva Watch Week 2025, Jacob & Co. unveiled a special edition of its “The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone” watch, created as a tribute to Bollywood icon Salman Khan. Today, we take a closer look at this remarkable timepiece. This edition continues the theme of honoring familial bonds, drawing inspiration from another father-son story. Just as Jacob Arabo received his first dual-time watch from his father, this model pays homage to Salman Khan’s father, the legendary Indian screenwriter Salim Khan.
Is a technical artistic technique used to create finely engraved patterns consisting of intricate interlacing and symmetrical lines on watch dials, parts of the watch movement, and watch cases. This pattern is applied to the surface of metal watch components using a special machine that accurately carves repetitive lines and engravings.
This craft, which has been around for centuries, now involves the use of antique machines to engrave precise patterns on metal watch components. Guilloché requires great skill and precision in execution, creating visual and three-dimensional effects by manipulating the angles of the engravings and the depth of the carving.
