A Compact Showcase of the Brand’s Tradition and Craftsmanship
Parmigiani Fleurier has launched its latest timepiece, a 36mm model, joining the Tonda PF Automatic collection. This release comes just weeks after the brand introduced its new "Stone Blue" dial color, which first debuted on the 40mm Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Platinum Stone Blue. Now, Parmigiani Fleurier incorporates this captivating hue into its smallest Tonda design, pairing it with the brand’s signature Grain d’Orge guilloché pattern.
“Stone Blue is an invitation to escape, suspended between sky and horizon, where light and purity meet. Inspired by the timeless hues of Le Corbusier, this blue embodies a serene modernity, capable of adapting to every era. It reflects my love for this unique shade, which stimulates imagination, nourishes artistic expression, and opens infinite horizons. Through it, every creation becomes an exploration, a journey toward freedom and inspiration.” Michel Parmigiani, Founder and Master Watchmaker
In a world where luxury evolves toward greater simplicity and universality, Parmigiani Fleurier introduces the Tonda PF 36mm, a timepiece that aligns with contemporary aspirations. With a 36mm diameter, it appeals to those seeking a versatile aesthetic, merging the charm of vintage proportions with modern sophistication.
Parmigiani Fleurier’s signature case design is ever-present, featuring a knurled platinum bezel encircling a stainless steel case that is polished and satin-finished. As the smallest model in the Tonda PF collection, it measures 36mm in diameter with a thickness of just 8.6mm, ensuring a balanced and sleek profile. In terms of design, the new watch has retained the same case shape used in previous gold editions.
Compared to the previous Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Platinum Stone Blue, which measured 40mm, this 36mm version introduces a more compact form factor. However, despite the reduction in case size, the thickness has slightly increased by nearly 1mm. This difference is imperceptible, even when handling both watches side by side.
The increase in thickness is due to the movement design. This edition features a central rotor positioned on top of the movement, whereas the previous model, benefiting from its larger size, incorporates a micro-rotor integrated within the movement components, allowing for a slimmer profile.
The Stone Blue dial harmonizes effortlessly with the knurled platinum bezel and stainless steel case. Hand-applied rhodium-plated gold indices accentuate the dial, adding a touch of refinement. This perfect balance between minimalist design and intricate details makes the Tonda PF 36mm a symbol of understated elegance.
Marking its first appearance in the Tonda PF 36mm Automatic series, the Stone Blue dial introduces a fresh hue to a collection previously available in black, grey, beige, and purple. Crafted with exceptional artisanal expertise, the dial features a finely guilloché Grain d’Orge motif, capturing light to create subtle reflections, unveiling a new dimension of its captivating hue with every glance.
A brushed minutes track encircles the dial, featuring white printed indices, drawing focus toward the central guilloché section, where applied indices and the Parmigiani Fleurier logo take prominence.
powered by the calibre PF770, an in-house automatic movement that operates at 28,000vph (4Hz) and offers a 60-hour power reserve. It features a central 22k rose gold skeletonized rotor and 179 components..
Completing the watch is an integrated stainless steel bracelet, a signature feature in Parmigiani Fleurier’s designs. Known for its exceptional comfort, the bracelet is polished and satin-finished, secured with a folding clasp.
