Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Raketa Unveils the Limited Edition Big Zero Brother 2

Marking the 25th anniversary of Aleksei Balabanov’s cult classic

Founded in 1961, the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg stands as one of the few fully in-house manufactures in the world, producing every single component of its watches. Over the decades, Raketa has become a cultural symbol of Russian watchmaking, celebrated for bold designs like the Big Zero, which later expanded to include a special edition for the Middle East and a gray variant paired with a stainless steel bracelet.

In collaboration with CTB Film Company, one of Russia’s most renowned production studios, Raketa continues its tribute to Russian cinema with the Big Zero Brother 2, a timepiece marking the 25th anniversary of Aleksei Balabanov’s cult classic being Brat (Brother) and its sequel Brat 2. This edition also resonates with the enduring story of Danila Bagrov, a protagonist character who left an indelible mark on post-Soviet generations.

The watch is housed in a 40 mm stainless steel case, measuring 14.05 mm thick with a 43 mm lug-to-lug profile. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the reverse side is fitted with mineral glass. The crown is set with a ruby stone, and water resistance is rated to 100 meters.

The matte black dial is defined by oversized white numerals, faithful to the Big Zero design language. Two indices, the “2” and the “5,” carry symbolic red accents, a direct nod to the 25th anniversary of Brother 2. Super-LumiNova coats both the markers and hands, ensuring optimal legibility in low-light conditions.

Inside, the watch is powered by Raketa’s in-house Calibre 2615, an automatic movement developed entirely at the Saint Petersburg manufacture. Beating at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz), it provides a power reserve of 40 hours.

It comes on a genuine leather strap equipped with a quick-change system. The strap also carries a symbolic element: the inscription “Sila v pravde” (“Strength lies in truth”), one of the film’s most memorable quotes.

The Big Zero Brother 2 is limited to 50 individually numbered pieces. Each watch is delivered in special packaging styled as a VHS tape, inscribed with “Брат 2-25.” The price is set at €2,000, approximately AED 9,890.
