Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Lang & Heyne Launches the Limited Edition Hektor II

A sophisticated evolution of Lang & Heyne’s steel sports watch

Lang & Heyne, the Dresden-based independent manufacture, has long been admired for its finely decorated, classically inspired timepieces such as the Friedrich and Anton. Known for combining baroque influences with German horological tradition, the brand surprised enthusiasts in 2021 with the launch of the Hektor, its first foray into the steel sports watch segment. Now, four years later, the maison evolves this distinctive creation with the new Hektor II, a model that refines both design and mechanics.

The watch is presented in a stainless-steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter and 10.95 mm in thickness. Its sculptural design emphasizes curves over sharp lines, with a domed sapphire crystal, alternating polished and brushed finishes, and the signature onion-shaped crown flanked by lateral guards. The case is secured by six screws and offers water resistance to 50 meters.

The dial features a galvanic black finish, highlighted by a patterned medallion at the center and a concentric chapter ring. Applied indices filled with Super-LumiNova ensure legibility in low light, while the stylized hands, echoing the peaked roofs of traditional German houses, are also treated with luminous material. At 6 o’clock, the watch showcases its hallmark detail, a petticoat-shaped cock cutout that offers a glimpse of the gear train beneath, tying the dial design to the movement’s architecture.

Powering the watch is the hand-wound calibre LH 33.2-2, produced by Uhren-Werke-Dresden, the brand’s sister company. The movement has been updated both technically and aesthetically, with a redesigned central seconds bridge, elongated gear-train finger bridges, and an improved bridge layout. It incorporates a free-sprung balance with six eccentric weights for precise regulation, runs at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz), and provides a 46-hour power reserve.

Completing the piece is an integrated stainless-steel bracelet with a five-link profile, secured by a butterfly clasp. The Hektor II is released as a limited edition of just 99 pieces and is priced at EUR 19,999, approximately AED 86,300.
