Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Auction Phillips Raises CHF 185,900 to Support l’École d'Horlogerie de Genève,

The Charity Auction Held During Geneva Watch Days Achieves Record Success

Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo hosted a charity auction on Saturday, 6 September 2025, during the Geneva Watch Days exhibition, raising CHF 185,900 in support of Geneva’s watchmaking school, the oldest in Switzerland. This figure is nearly double that of last year’s edition, with all proceeds benefiting the institution.

The sale featured 19 lots in total, each representing a unique object or experience donated by one of the participating brands at Geneva Watch Days. Under the gavel of Phillips auctioneer Marcello de Marco, the auction achieved an impressive CHF 185,900.

The top lot of the evening was a complete set of 35 Minimilian figurines donated by MB&F, which realized CHF 80,000.

The Geneva Watchmaking School, or l’École d'Horlogerie de Genève, is among the most prestigious institutions dedicated to horological education worldwide. Founded in 1824, it is the oldest watchmaking school in Switzerland and counts among its alumni Christophe Claret, Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller, and Rexhep Rexhepi.

The full proceeds of CHF 185,900 will go to the Pierre Amstutz Fund, a non-profit organization named after the former director of the Geneva School of Watchmaking. The fund provides scholarships to watchmaking and micromechanics apprentices facing financial hardship.

This was the third edition of the Geneva Watch Days × Phillips charity auction. Collectively, the three editions have raised CHF 403,900 to date, with 2025 marking the most successful year yet.
