Two new limited editions with a triple-axis tourbillon and a minute repeater
Hermès, the renowned French fashion house, has a storied history that dates back to 1837. Known for its exquisite craftsmanship and iconic designs, Hermès is synonymous with luxury and elegance. The brand's venture into watchmaking began in 1912, and over the years, Hermès has continued to showcase its creative passion through a diverse range of watch releases. These releases span from classic designs that honor traditional craftsmanship to innovative timepieces that push the boundaries of design.
This year, Hermès released the new “Arceau Duc Attelé”, a watch that boasts a central triple-axis tourbillon and a minute repeater, available in both grade 5 titanium and a 5N rose gold case.
The case is polished and has a diameter of 43mm, with the dial shielded by a domed anti-glare sapphire crystal. It has stirrup lugs, and a crown at the 3 o'clock position, with a minute repeater lever on the opposite side. The first thing you notice is the titanium cage of the central triple-axis tourbillon, adorned with the double H, with its three carriages completing their rotations in 300, 60, and 25 seconds.
The polished minute repeater hammers are positioned at 6 o'clock, alongside a power reserve indicator with blue accents. The dial features a domed light gray and rhodium-plated hour and minute ring with a sunburst finish, encircling the triple-axis tourbillon, which sits over a striped guilloché motif coated in anthracite for the titanium version. In contrast, the rose-gold edition has a white and gold hour-circle with a lacquer finish over a blue aventurine disk. This chapter ring appears to be suspended above the main surface, and the two blue indicators traverse its incline, tracking the passage of time for both watches.
The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the new manually wound Manufacture H1926 caliber, a product of collaboration with Le Cercle des Horlogers. This movement operates at 36,000 vph (5Hz) and features a double-barrel system, providing a 48-hour power reserve.
The watch is offered with a matte anthracite strap for the titanium case or a matte abyss blue alligator strap for the rose gold case. Each version is limited to 24 pieces, and the price is available upon request.
