Introducing H. Moser & Cie. Presents the Elements of Time Collection

In Collaboration with the Azuki Digital Art Platform NFT

Swiss watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. has joined forces with the Web3 anime brand Azuki to create the “Elements of Time” collection, a striking fusion of digital storytelling and haute horlogerie. This unexpected collaboration translates the digital-native lore of Azuki’s universe into tangible, mechanical masterpieces.

Azuki is a digital collective of “anime artists and builders” who have crafted a vibrant anime universe spanning animated storytelling, digital collectibles, fashion, and real-world events.

The new collection draws its inspiration from the Azuki Elementals NFT series, divided into four domains—Fire, Earth, Water, and Lightning. H. Moser & Cie. interprets these elemental forces through two of its signature models: four unique Pioneer Tourbillon timepieces (one for each element) and four Pioneer Centre Seconds models, each limited to just 24 pieces.

All eight watches are housed in lightweight yet robust titanium cases measuring 40 mm in diameter and 11.4 mm in thickness. They feature curved sapphire crystals, see-through casebacks revealing the movements, and screw-down crowns adorned with the Moser “M,” ensuring water resistance to 120 meters. Each is topped with a uni-directional rotating bezel, lending a sporty touch to the refined design.

The dials are the true visual highlight. H. Moser & Cie.’s signature fumé finish creates a gradient effect that darkens toward the edges, adding depth. Each dial is further adorned with a unique engraved guilloché pattern corresponding to its element:

  • Fire – A warm, intense gradient that transitions from a bright, fiery center to a smoky periphery. The guilloché evokes the unpredictable dance of flames, reflecting passion and energy.
  • Earth – A grounded brown fumé tone with a “tremor” or “terrain” motif, giving a textured, topographical appearance.
  • Water – Shades of blue and teal fading from a light, clear center to deep-sea darkness, with rippling guilloché patterns reminiscent of a stone dropped into still water.
  • Lightning – Brilliant electric blue or white-blue fumé transitioning into a stormy background, with jagged guilloché lines suggesting electric pulses.

A signature design detail connects the collection directly to Azuki’s community: the “Bean Index” at 12 o’clock, replacing the traditional marker, referencing a key element of Azuki lore. Leaf-shaped hour and minute hands filled with Globolight® sweep across appliqué indices coated with Super-LumiNova® for optimal low-light legibility.

Inside the Pioneer Centre Seconds models beats the in-house HMC 200 automatic calibre. Measuring 32.0 mm by 5.5 mm, it runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a three-day power reserve. It features a bi-directional pawl winding system, an engraved oscillating weight, hacking seconds, and an Original Straumann® Hairspring produced by Moser’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG.

The Pioneer Tourbillon models are powered by the new HMC 805 automatic calibre, replacing the HMC 804. Enhancements include partially skeletonized bridges for a wider view of the mechanism, a larger architecture, and a modern anthracite finish. The golden rotor is beveled to keep the movement visible, while the calibre maintains a three-day power reserve at 21,600 vph (3 Hz).

Each watch is paired with an integrated titanium bracelet flowing seamlessly from the lugs and secured with a finely engraved titanium folding clasp bearing the H. Moser & Cie. logo.

The Tourbillon models are unique pieces, with one created for each elemental design, each priced at USD 75,000 (AED 275,500). The Pioneer Centre Seconds models, limited to 24 pieces for each of the four elements, are priced at USD 25,000 (AED 91,800).
