Introducing Czapek Releases the Promenade Diamond Drops

Expanding the Promenade collection with a limited edition set in diamonds and sapphires

Founded in 2015 and rooted in the legacy of 19th-century Polish watchmaker François Czapek, Czapek has quickly established itself as a maison where heritage meets high-end modern craftsmanship.  At last year's Watches and Wonders, the brand unveiled the Promenade collection, an elegant line of dress watches featuring an off-center small seconds sundial. The collection was later expanded to include new Plissé dials, and now the brand transforms this simple idea into a dazzling interpretation of gem-setting, meet the Promenade Diamond Drops.

The watch is presented in a compact 38mm white gold case with a slim 10.8mm profile, maintaining a modern, unisex appeal. To complement the fully gem-set dial, the bezel, flange, and crown are each adorned with diamonds, 173 brilliant-cut stones, to be exact. A sapphire crystal caseback provides a clear view of the movement inside, while the watch remains water-resistant to 50 meters.

The real centerpiece here is the snow-set dial, a technique requiring intense precision and artistry. Crafted in collaboration with AB Products, the white gold dial is covered with 360 diamonds and 319 sapphires in various shades of blue. The stones are placed individually into tiny wells, creating natural spirals that radiate from the off-centered small seconds sub-dial at 5 o’clock. The result is a swirling, icy landscape that glitters with every movement of the wrist. It also features heat blued hands.

The watch is powered by the in-house SXH5.1 calibre, an automatic movement with a micro-rotor made of recycled platinum. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and offers a 60-hour power reserve. Architecturally inspired by 19th-century pocket watches, the movement features seven bridges, five of them skeletonized, alongside finely executed finishing like bevelled edges and hand-chamfered angles.

It comes with a blue calfskin leather strap, selected to echo the cool tones of the sapphires. This watch is limited to just 10 pieces and is priced at CHF 82,000, approximately AED 360,000.
