Transparent green Shade dial reveals movement components
The independent Swiss watchmaker Czapek is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and takes pride in manufacturing both its timepieces and movements entirely in-house. This approach gives the brand full control over the production process and ensures the highest standards of quality. Czapek also benefits from strategic partnerships with prominent names, one of the most notable being its collaboration with Mansour Jewelry, which resulted in the creation of the limited-edition Royal Onyx. In its latest collaboration with Fratello, the brand presents the Fratello x Czapek Promenade Transparencies Viridian Green.
The watch features a 38mm stainless steel case with a polished finish, complemented by satin-finished accents. Its compact dimensions, including a thickness of 10.8mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 42mm, ensure a comfortable fit on the wrist. It is equipped with sapphire crystal on both the front and the caseback, each treated with an internal anti-reflective coating for enhanced clarity. The sapphire caseback is securely fastened with four screws.
The dial is crafted from green fumé sapphire crystal, paying a beautiful tribute to the historical and artistic significance of the Viridian Green pigment, first developed in Paris in 1838. The fumé dial showcases a subtle gradient effect, with green hues radiating from the small seconds subdial at 4 o’clock, creating a dynamic visual flow. Applied hour markers and a minute track, both coated with Super-LumiNova, ensure excellent legibility, while the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, also treated with Super-LumiNova, provide a luminous glow in low-light conditions.
The watch is powered by the in-house Calibre SXH7.1, a skeletonized automatic movement designed and crafted by Czapek. This 152-component movement, operates at a frequency 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 60-hour power reserve, thanks to its winding system powered by a recycled platinum micro-rotor. The movement features seven skeletonized sandblasted black bridges.
The watch is paired with a green Cordura strap and a stainless steel pin buckle. It is limited to just 50 pieces and is priced at EUR 32,000, approximately equivalent to AED 128,000.
