The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing A. Lange & Söhne Continues Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Datograph

The Handwerkskunst Limited Edition with a handmade dial showcasing the highest level of German craftsmanship

The Datograph was A. Lange & Söhne’s first chronograph after its relaunch in 1994 and has set a benchmark in chronograph construction since 1999. To celebrate its 25th anniversary at Watches & Wonders, A. Lange & Söhne introduced two remarkable interpretations of this mechanical marvel: the Datograph Up/Down in white gold with a blue dial and the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold Lumen.

In conjunction with Geneva Watch Days, the German manufacturer unveiled a limited-edition Datograph in yellow gold to celebrate the collection's third major milestone. This special edition features a meticulously adorned dial with tremblage engraving—referred to as Handwerkskunst ("craftsmanship")—a technique that has been used on exclusive Lange pieces since 2011.

The case, crafted in yellow gold, retains the classic design of previous editions, with a 41 mm diameter and a height of 13.1 mm. Its three-part construction alternates between polished and brushed surfaces. The chronograph pushers and date corrector are finely beveled, enhancing the overall refinement. Each timepiece is individually numbered with an engraving on the gold rim of the case back.

The dial, where all the craftsmanship shines, is also made of yellow gold and showcases the tremblage technique. The main dial is treated with black rhodium, while the subdials are finished in light grey rhodium. To achieve the tremblage texture, an engraver uses a lining burin to create a fine-grained surface. The hand-finishing process ensures a uniform pattern across every facet of the dial. The matte texture reduces reflection, ensuring legibility from all angles. The large date is prominently displayed below the 12 o’clock position, while the small seconds subdial is located at 9 o’clock, and the 30-minute counter is positioned at 3 o’clock.

Although the case design mirrors that of the Datograph UP/DOWN, this edition omits the Up/Down power reserve indicator at six o'clock. Instead, Roman numerals at two, six, and 10 o’clock lend a classical touch, with each numeral featuring chamfered edges and flat surfaces polished to perfection.

Through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the artisanal beauty of the hand-finished manufacture Calibre L951.8 is on full display. This hand-wound movement comprises 426 components and operates at a frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vibrations per hour), offering a power reserve of 60 hours. The bridges, made of German silver, boast a granular finish that complements the tremblage-engraved dial—a design inspired by historic pocket watches.

One of the standout features of the movement is the balance cock, adorned with an intricate filigree vine pattern. Unlike traditional engravings, this relief engraving adds a striking depth to the design.

The Datograph Handwerkskunst is paired with a dark brown hand-stitched alligator strap, secured by an 18K yellow gold deployant buckle. This limited edition is restricted to just 25 pieces, with pricing available upon request.
