The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Panerai Unveils Submersible Chrono Marina Militare PAM01699

The third “Experience” edition celebrates its historic alliance with the Italian Navy

Panerai returns with a striking new limited edition timepiece, created in partnership with the Italian Navy, an alliance that dates back to the 1910s. For the first time, this collaboration extends to the Navy’s aviation division, Aviazione Navale, with the launch of the Submersible Chrono Marina Militare Experience Edition.

The PAM01699 is the latest addition to Panerai’s exclusive Experiences Program, introduced in 2019 to immerse clients in the brand’s core pillars: adventure, military legacy, and refined Italian craftsmanship.

Housed in a bold 47mm case crafted from brushed Grade 5 titanium, the watch features a unidirectional titanium bezel fitted with a matte black ceramic insert. It boasts an impressive water resistance of 500 meters, tested by Panerai at tolerances exceeding standard requirements by over 25%, ensuring reliability in extreme underwater conditions. Titanium construction keeps the watch approximately 40% lighter than steel, enhancing wearability. The iconic Panerai crown guard mechanism protects the screw-down crown positioned at 3 o’clock.

On the right side of the case are two pushers used to operate a unique countdown function. Pressing the pusher at 4 o’clock allows the central chronograph minute hand to move backwards in one-minute intervals. Once the chronograph is activated via the 10 o’clock pusher, the hand counts down to zero, serving as a “time-to-target” indication before transitioning to standard elapsed time measurement.

Drawing inspiration from naval flight instruments, the textured green-grained dial features grey Super-LumiNova and is signed with the bold “Marina Militare” inscription. The layout includes two recessed sub-dials: one for the running seconds (styled like a radar display) and the other a 12-hour chronograph counter. The dial is framed by crisp white printed markings and a minute track, enhancing legibility.

In addition to central hour, minute, and chronograph seconds hands, the watch features a secondary hour hand for Travel-Time Jump Hour functionality. This independently adjustable hour hand jumps forward or backward in one-hour increments, without halting the movement or disturbing the minute hand, making it ideal for travelers crossing time zones.

The applied baton indices and oversized hands are filled with Grade X2 Super-LumiNova for superior visibility in low light, emitting a green glow, except for the Travel-Time hour hand and the 12 o’clock marker, which glow blue for quick orientation.

Powering the Submersible Chrono Marina Militare is the Panerai P.9100/R automatic caliber, a sophisticated flyback chronograph movement equipped with a vertical clutch and column wheel. Measuring 9.55mm thick, it offers a three-day power reserve via twin barrels and beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour).

The watch is delivered on a green canvas strap with a titanium buckle, and comes with an additional black rubber strap for versatility. This special edition is limited to just 35 pieces, each priced at GBP 48,200, approximately AED 235,600.
