The brand's first participation in LVMH Watch Week
Making its debut at LVMH Watch Week, Tiffany & Co. unveils a collection of jewelry watches inspired by the brand’s iconic signatures. Among the highlights is the Eternity by Tiffany Wisteria watch, a stunning example of Tiffany’s expertise in blending fine jewelry with watchmaking craftsmanship.
Inspired by one of Tiffany Studios’ most celebrated designs from the early 20th century, the Wisteria table lamp, the Eternity by Tiffany Wisteria watch is a beautiful homage to Tiffany’s artistic legacy. Adorned with over 5 carats of diamonds, it showcases the brand’s unparalleled skill in creating exquisite timepieces.
Tiffany’s Art Nouveau lamps, known for their floral and insect motifs, were crafted using multicolored glass latticework. The Eternity by Tiffany Wisteria watch draws inspiration from the cascading blooms of the Wisteria table lamp, a design created by Clara Driscoll at Tiffany Studios in the early 1900s.
Tiffany’s Eternity collection stands out for its unique diamond cuts marking each hour. Drawing inspiration from vintage Tiffany & Co. advertisements for diamond engagement rings from the 1960s, the watch features a total of 709 diamonds, surpassing 5 carats. Most of these diamonds are set on the case, enhancing the watch’s radiant beauty.
The meticulous crafting of the watch requires over 150 hours of labor, with 80 hours dedicated to hand-enameling and assembling the dial, and 70 hours spent on the intricate snow-setting of the diamonds.
The 38mm white gold case is adorned with 627 snow-set diamonds in eight different diameters. The diamonds, arranged in a close-knit pattern to evoke the sparkling surface of freshly fallen snow, allow the case to shimmer with its own light. Additionally, 59 diamonds are set in the bezel, while the crown, inspired by Tiffany’s iconic Tiffany Setting engagement ring, is set with a brilliant-cut diamond held in place by six prongs—an innovative design introduced by Tiffany in 1886.
Tiffany & Co. pays tribute to its rich heritage with the vibrant dial of the Wisteria timepiece, further enhancing the timeless appeal of the Eternity by Tiffany collection. The dial is crafted using plique-à-jour enamel, an ancient technique that uses transparent enamel suspended in small metal cells. This allows the dial to capture the translucent green and blue hues of the lamp, reminiscent of a stained-glass window, with light permeating and reflecting off the dial.
The dial features 12 different diamond cuts: round brilliant, baguette, cushion, Tiffany True, marquise, Asscher, heart, pear, oval, emerald, triangle, and princess cuts. The hour and minute hands are also crafted from white gold, complementing the luxurious design.
Powering the watch is an automatic movement from Swiss manufacturer Le Temps. The small 15.7mm LTM2100 caliber features a single barrel, beats at 25,200 vibrations per hour (vph), and offers a 38-hour power reserve.
The Eternity by Tiffany Wisteria watch is paired with a dark blue alligator strap and a white gold T-pin buckle set with 10 brilliant-cut diamonds. This timepiece will be produced in a limited edition, with pricing available upon request.
