Smaller and lighter than ever, the latest addition to Perrelet's Turbine series
Founded in 1777 by Abraham-Louis Perrelet, Bienne-based a Swiss watch company boasts a rich heritage of watchmaking innovation. Abraham-Louis Perrelet is widely recognized as the inventor of the self-winding movement. Perrelet's dedication to innovation continues to define the company's philosophy.
All Perrelet watches are equipped with automatic movements in tribute to Abraham-Louis. Since 2004, Perrelet has been part of the Spanish Group “Festina”.The Turbine Collection was launched in 2009. It offers a diverse range of styles for both sexes.
Perrelet reinforced the Turbine collection in 2013 by associating for the first time a chronograph and the tourbillon. One year later, Perrelet presented its new Turbine Pilot collection as a truly aviator watch. In parallel, Perrelet launched the Turbine Skeleton, a model associating the turbine with a skeleton movement that reveals its full charm when the turbine located above the dial spins freely and at full speed.
On the occasion of the Geneva Watch Days 2023, Perrelet released the new “Turbine 41 Titanium”. A first for the Swiss Maison, which is 41 mm in diameter. Since the initial launch in 2009, the diameter of the numerous models produced has averaged 44 mm, rising up to 48 mm for some timepieces.
Perrelet is offering the new “Turbine 41 Titanium” in ten references. There are four with a polished and brushed titanium case and lower-dial in shades of blue, green, red or black. The other six versions have a black DLC titanium case and the color of the sub-dials: yellow, orange, red, English green, blue or black.
Turbine 41 Titanium" maintains the aesthetics of the Turbine collection. It begins with a polished and brushed titanium case with a diameter of 41 mm and a thickness of 13.9 mm. the futed case band ”grooves on the case band”, and a crystal with an anti-reflective coating surrounded by a flat bezel. A triple lugs, and the crown adorned with the brand's logo.
The dial is composed of 12 black anodised aluminum blades inspired by airplane propellers with five counterweights made of tungsten, that allow it to slow down and return to its resting position, a lower dial featuring a design that changes to complement each of the 10 models. Classic hour and minute hands, coated with Superluminova. Arabic numerals mixed with indices, filled with Super-LumiNova too, are embossed on a matte black ring. The seconds hand, matching the hue of the lower dial in the black DLC titanium variants and sporting a red hue for the titanium models.
