18k rose gold cases in new, elegant colors, available in sizes 38 and 41 mm
The Code 11.59 collection was introduced five years ago with a unique design, which distinguishes itself with round cases, setting the Code 11.59 apart from the iconic Royal Oak. The "11.59" signifies the last minute before the start of a new day, symbolizing Audemars Piguet’s anticipation of the future and its dedication to pushing boundaries in watchmaking. The collection features a range of models, including chronographs, perpetual calendars, tourbillons, and minute repeaters, and the all in one Code 11.59 Universelle.
This year, Audemars Piguet unveils seven new references in 38 and 41 mm 18k pink gold. The collection’s signature dial design, as well as the new aesthetic introduced in 2023 on the first stainless steel timepieces, are included in these models.
Among the latest additions to the collection, two 38 mm x 9.6 mm Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet automatic references join the initial two pieces launched in October 2023. These two new references in 18-carat pink gold present contrasting shades of blue, offering an elegant counterpoint to the precious metal of the case. The first model showcases luminous light blue tones extending across the dial, date window, inner bezel, and strap, resulting in a cohesive design. The second reference features the iconic “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” color using PVD, first introduced on the inaugural Royal Oak (Ref. 5402). In this new release, the dark blue hue is accentuated by various pink gold details, imparting depth to the piece.
The remaining five new variations come in a 41 mm x 10.7 mm size, comprising two versions with time-date displays and three Chronographs with 12.6mm in thickness. The first time-date variant showcases a captivating shade of green on its dial. The interplay between the pink gold accents and the dial pattern enhances the vibrancy of this green hue, which extends seamlessly onto the inner bezel and the strap. This timepiece shares its color scheme with one of the chronograph variants. Both the 9 and 3 o’clock counters are adorned with the same green hue, accented by a gold frame, while the 6 o’clock counter is entirely green.
Two models in the 41 mm size feature the “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” shade. The time-date variant boasts a dial in a consistent tone matching the strap, complemented by a gray inner bezel. Correspondingly, the Chronograph variant presents a dial with two blue counters framed in gray at 9 and 3 o’clock, accompanied by an all-gray counter at 6 o’clock, echoing the hue of the inner bezel. The textured dark-blue rubber straps on both models accentuate the deep color of the dial.
In a play of contrasts, the fifth reference combines elements of an 18-carat pink gold case with an octagonal black ceramic case middle and crown. This aesthetic blends seamlessly with the black dial, surrounded by a matching inner bezel. The hands, indices, counters stand out in gold tones against the black background. This variant is paired with an elegant black strap, echoing the sophistication of the dial.
The two 38 mm time-date variants come with the automatic Caliber 5900, which operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and offers a 60-hour power reserve.
The 41 mm time-date models are powered by the Caliber 4302, while the chronograph variants utilize the Caliber 4401, an integrated automatic chronograph with a column wheel and flyback function. Both movements operate at the same frequency as the Caliber 5900 but provide a longer 70-hour power reserve, and are equipped with a patented mechanism that ensures stability and precision during watch setting. Additionally, the Caliber 4401 features a vertical gear system to prevent hand jumping when the chronograph is activated or stopped, along with a patented reset mechanism that ensures each counter hand returns to its original position.
The sapphire crystal caseback showcases a 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight dedicated to the collection, along with polished angles, vertical brushing, Côtes de Genève, and circular graining.
The 38 mm variants are priced at CHF 29,800 which is equivalent to AED 125,000, while the 41 mm models are priced at CHF 30,900, which is equivalent to AED 130,00. The chronograph models are priced at CHF 43,300, equivalent to AED 182,000.
