Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Junghans Unveils the limited edition Meister Chronoscope

Marking a century-long partnership with the brand’s German retailer Wempe

Founded in 1861 in Schramberg, Germany, Junghans built its legacy as a pioneer in timekeeping, rising to become one of the world’s largest clockmakers by 1903. The brand is known for its precision engineering and Bauhaus-inspired design language. This year, Junghans marks a major milestone: 100 years of partnership with Wempe, the Hamburg-based retailer, an anniversary celebrated with a special limited edition Meister Chronoscope.

The Meister Chronoscope is an emblematic model that draws inspiration from a 1936 original. It comes in a 40.7mm polished stainless steel case, 13.9mm thick and tapered to form an elegant silhouette, where a slim bezel and domed sapphire crystal contribute to its clean, refined appearance. On the reverse, a screw-down mineral glass caseback offers a view of the movement while providing 50 meters of water resistance.

The highlight is the light blue domed dial, which features sub-dials at 12 o’clock for the 30-minute counter and at 6 o’clock for the 12-hour counter, both rendered in a darker blue with matching hands. A smaller seconds sub-dial sits at 9 o’clock. Rhodium-plated, curved indices and hands follow the contours of the dial. For the first time, the Wempe logo appears just below the day-date display at 3 o’clock.

Inside ticks the automatic calibre J880.1, based on the Sellita SW500. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 48-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with a midnight blue alligator leather strap, secured with a stainless steel folding clasp. This special edition is limited to 100 pieces and will be available starting 7 May 2025 at a price of EUR 2,590, approximately AED 10,600.
