News Horology Forum Marks 10th Anniversary with First Hong Kong Edition

Dubai Watch Week’s Expands to Asia, Bringing Industry Leaders and Watch Enthusiasts Together

For its landmark 10th edition, Dubai Watch Week’s Horology Forum makes its first-ever appearance in Asia, with Hong Kong—a country renowned for its thriving watch community—hosting the prestigious event. Hind Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week, expressed her enthusiasm about this milestone, stating:

We are delighted to host the 10th edition of the Horology Forum here, marking a significant step in expanding our international presence in Asia, a hub of the luxury watch industry. It also allows us to evolve the Horology Forum and Dubai Watch Week platform while preserving its unique DNA.”

The Horology Forum is an intellectual and discussion-based platform organized as part of Dubai Watch Week. It was created to foster dialogue and exchange ideas about the art, science, and industry of watchmaking. Since its inception in 2015, the Horology Forum has become a significant event for collectors, industry leaders, watch enthusiasts, and experts to engage in insightful discussions about horology's past, present, and future.

Since its launch the Horology Forum has hosted over 90 panels and featured more than 270 speakers. The 10th edition, known as HF.10, promises to continue this impressive legacy in Hong Kong. Notably, admission to the event is free and open to the public through online pre-registration.

The Horology Forum will take place from October 22nd to 24th, 2024, at one of Hong Kong’s most iconic locations: Christie’s in The Henderson, a strikingly modern building designed by the renowned Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.

This year’s event will feature an exceptional lineup of panelists and moderators, including Nicholas Biebuyck, Heritage Director of TAG Heuer, Tim Mosso of The 1916 Company, Pim Koeslag of Christiaan van der Klaauw, Mark Cho of The Armoury, Ming Thein of Ming; Jiaxian Su of SJX, In addition to many experts and actors in the field.

For the past decade, the Horology Forum has served as a premier intellectual platform, bringing together some of the brightest minds and most influential figures in the watch industry.
