Introducing Girard Perregaux launches the Laureato 42mm Ella Edition

The Laureato collection from Girard-Perregaux is renowned for its intricate and innovative timepieces, such as the Laureato "Absolute 8 Tech" crafted from carbon components. Now, the brand continues to reinforce its commitment to social responsibility with the launch of its latest edition, the "Laureato 42mm ELA Edition," in support of ELA, a charity dedicated to fighting leukodystrophies in children, contributing to a meaningful and important cause.

The case is crafted from polished and satin-finished stainless steel, measuring 42 mm in diameter and 10.68 mm in thickness. It showcases an octagonal bezel that encircles a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the dial. The case back, also made of sapphire crystal, is securely screwed onto the main back bezel. The "GP" logo is engraved on the crown positioned at 3 o'clock, and the watch offers water resistance up to 100 meters.

The dial showcases an exquisite design adorned with deep violet Grand Feu enamel, featuring a striking sunray pattern created by concentric rings radiating from the center. Silver-tone hands and hour markers beautifully enhance the vivid hue of the dial, all of which are rhodium plated for added elegance. The date window at 3 o’clock, featuring white numerals on a violet disc.

The watch is powered by the in-house automatic movement, calibre GP01800. It features a rose gold rotor elegantly decorated with Côtes de Genève-patterned with the bridges. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and is composed of 191 components, with a power reserve of 54 hours.

It comes with stainless steel, polished and satin finished bracelet. and a stainless steel triple-folding buckle. This watch will be auctioned on November 11, 2024 in an auction hosted by Christie’s, with an estimated value of CHF 20,000 to CHF 30,000 which is equivalent to AED 88,000 to 132,000.
