Introducing Girard-Perregaux Unveils the Laureato Infinity Grey
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A New Dial Design Combining Grand Feu Enamel and Guilloché Engraving
The most famous collection from Girard-Perregaux is, of course, the Laureato, the sporty, integrated model distinguished by its octagonal bezel and signature Clous de Paris-patterned dial. Now, the line welcomes a new addition: the Laureato 42mm “Infinity Grey”, which introduces a fresh dial design while preserving the iconic Laureato case.
This new edition features a Grand Feu enamel dial crafted using the flinqué technique, which combines guilloché engraving with translucent enamel. The result is a sophisticated, multi-dimensional effect that highlights the brand’s commitment to haute horlogerie craftsmanship.
The stainless steel case, with its mix of brushed and polished finishes, remains true to the Laureato design. The 42mm tonneau-shaped case is just 10.68mm thick and showcases a horizontally brushed surface with finely beveled edges. The hallmark octagonal bezel, positioned atop a polished base, features a circular brushed finish. Sapphire crystals protect both sides of the watch, and the case is water-resistant to 100 meters.
The grey dial is adorned with Grand Feu enamel, a rare métiers d’art technique executed by Donzé Cadrans, the renowned enameller belonging to the Sowind Group, parent company of Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin. The process begins with a sunray guilloché motif radiating from the center, followed by the application of multiple layers of enamel. The result is a richly detailed surface, complemented by rhodium-plated baton hands and indices, and a date window at 3 o’clock.
Turning the watch over reveals the Calibre GP01800, an in-house automatic movement developed and assembled at the brand’s manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Measuring just 3.97mm thick, it beats at a 4Hz frequency and offers a power reserve of 54 hours. Decorative finishes include circular Côtes de Genève on the pink gold rotor, linear Côtes de Genève on the bridges, and perlage on the mainplate.
It comes with the iconic integrated bracelet, featuring brushed outer links and brightly polished center links, secured with a folding clasp. The Infinity Grey joins the brand’s permanent collection, priced at CHF 17,100 which is equivalent approximately to 76,825 AED.
