Introducing Girard-Perregaux Unveils the Laureato Chronograph Ice Blue Limited Edition

Multi-Deco Ice Dial and Iconic Laureato Case

First launched in 1975, the Laureato marked an innovative step for Girard-Perregaux, establishing its presence in the competitive world of luxury sports watches. Designed to combine sporty style with refined elegance, the watch became suitable for both formal and informal occasions. One of the key features of the original Laureato was its octagonal bezel, which gave the watch its distinctive architectural identity. The Laureato collection continues to evolve, offering a range of timepieces that blend creativity, luxury, and timeless design.

The brand has introduced several versions of this collection, the most notable of which is the “Laureato Chronograph Endless Skyline UAE Edition”, created in collaboration with the Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons group. This edition embodies Arab culture, featuring Eastern Arabic numerals that reflect the region's heritage. In the latest releases of the Laureato collection, the “Chronograph Ice Blue" was introduced, retaining the distinctive style and shape of the collection.

The watch comes in a case made of 904L steel, known for its corrosion resistance. The case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces, creating a refined contrast that enhances its bold design. Its octagonal bezel rests atop a circular ring, which is positioned above a tonneau-shaped case, giving the watch a unique and distinctive allure. With a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 12.01 mm, the case strikes the perfect balance between presence and wearability. The closed case-back ensures durability, while the screw-down crown at 3 o'clock, positioned between the chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock and protected by side guards, ensures 100 meters of water resistance.

The watch stands out with its fresh, vibrant light blue dial, which exudes a sense of modern elegance. The dial features a three-dimensional Clous de Paris motif, adding depth and texture, while the tri-compax snail-finished chronograph counters are enhanced by concentric circles, emphasizing their precision. Rhodium-plated and polished applied indices and hands, all filled with Super-LumiNova, ensure legibility in low light. A date window is positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, offering additional functionality. The white printed minute track along the edge of the dial completes the design, further highlighting the watch's sophisticated yet sporty appeal.

The watch is powered by the in-house calibre GP03300 automatic movement, a sophisticated chronograph mechanism made up of 419 components. This high-performance movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), and offers 46 hours power reserve. The movement is beautifully finished with Côtes de Genève lines on its surface. It comes with a stainless steel bracelet and triple folding buckle. This watch is a limited edition to 180 pieces, and priced at USD 19,100, approximately AED 70,300.
