A Triple Calendar Watch Inspired by High-Speed Racing Boats
Depancel, the French brand known for creating watches inspired by motorsports, unveils a new timepiece that celebrates the spirit of racing, specifically the golden days of powerboat competitions from the 1970s and 1980s. Introducing the Depancel Allure D[R]IVER Calendar, a watch that may visually evoke a diver or GMT model, yet is, in fact, a triple calendar paired with a rotating 12-hour bezel.
The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel, complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring optimal legibility even under bright sunlight. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, adding a layer of versatility for everyday wear.
With its 39 mm diameter, the watch hits a contemporary sweet spot, while the 13.5 mm thickness offers a reassuring wrist presence without feeling bulky. The bi-directional 12-hour bezel features an aluminum insert, available in two variations: deep ocean blue or a bold two-tone red-and-black.
Adding to the brand's signature aesthetic, each Depancel watch is equipped with a numbered plate screwed onto the case flank, a subtle nod to automotive license plates and a detail that underscores Depancel’s strong ties to the world of motorsports.
The textured dial is carefully finished to catch and reflect light, evoking both the shimmering surface of ocean waves and the gritty texture of asphalt. This dual inspiration is expressed through two dial options: the deep ocean blue, and a striking two-tone red-and-black version inspired by the iconic livery of Cigarette powerboats.

Functionally, the Allure D[R]IVER Calendar offers a practical triple calendar display: the day of the week and month appear in sub-dials at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock respectively, while the date is shown via a window at 6 o’clock. The result is a clean, dashboard-like layout that’s both practical and visually balanced.
Powering the watch is the Miyota 9122 automatic movement a robust Japanese made caliber known for its reliability. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it delivers a 40-hour power reserve. In addition to hours, minutes, and central seconds, it supports the full calendar complication, elevating its functionality beyond standard time-only watches.

The Allure D[R]IVER Calendar is offered with two distinct strap options: a fully integrated stainless steel bracelet that seamlessly extends the case’s lines and secures via a deployant clasp, or, for a more casual and sporty aesthetic, an FKM rubber strap with a textured finish echoing the dial’s pattern, closed by a classic pin buckle. Priced at 855 Euro which is equivalent to 3,650 AED.
