A sporty and elegant watch that pays tribute to the brand’s watchmaking heritage
The Swiss brand Delma is known for crafting reliable and functional timepieces, and this year it celebrates its 100th anniversary, marking this milestone with the release of the 1924 Tourbillon and the revival of the Midland collection. Additionally, to commemorate this significant occasion, Delma is unveiling The Heritage Chronograph 100 Years Limited Edition.
The Heritage collection is the brand's take on classic dress watches that compliments any occasion, a feature we can see in this release. The watch comes in a stainless steel case measuring 43 mm in diameter and 15.7 mm in thickness. It is topped with a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating and features a mineral crystal on the caseback.
The black dial features a sunray finish and is surrounded by a tachymeter and a telemeter scale. The enlarged Arabic numerals with red accents and the vintage-inspired cathedral-shaped hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova. The 30-minute chronograph counter is positioned at 12 o’clock, the day and date indicators alongside the brand’s logo are set at 3 o’clock, the 12-hour chronograph counter is positioned at 6 o’clock, and the small seconds subdial is set at 9 o’clock.
The watch is powered by the ETA Valjoux 7750 calibre that is rhodium-plated and adorned with perlage and blued screws. This automatic movement features a DELMA custom rotor with Côte de Genève, it operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 48 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with a black hand-made Italian leather strap with a butterfly deployant clasp. It is limited to 100 pieces, and priced at USD 3,100, equivalent to AED 11,400.
