The OAK Collection’s world tour is set to make its next stop at Dubai, marking the first time that this collection of extraordinary watches is being exhibited in the Middle East. Coinciding with Dubai Watch Week, the exhibition adds to the excitement of this electrifying moment in the watch industry.
The OAK Collection represents one of the most notable collections of timepieces of our age known to exist in private hands today and has only been viewed once previously in London in May 2022. This amazing collection is owned by the French entrepreneur Patrick Getreide. it is a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts attending Dubai Watch Week to view a selection of these extremely rare and coveted timepiece
A selection of 100 pieces from a collection of more than 600 timepieces in The OAK Collection (One-of-a-Kind) will be exhibited from 17 to 20 November at Christie’s. Open to the public, as well as to guests and visitors attending Dubai Watch Week. The OAK Collection Exhibition being held at Christie’s Dubai will comprise solely of Patek Philippe timepieces. The OAK Collection has been meticulously curated into 11 distinct sections, all equally fascinating and each a testament to an unequaled passion for horology. The diversity and rarity of The OAK Collection, combined with the immaculate provenance and pristine condition of the pieces makes this collection an homage to Haute Horology’s finest engineering and master craftsmanship, as well as to the exceptional eye of the collector whose vision brought many of these one of a kind pieces to life. Each of the 600 pieces in the overall collection is known for its rarity and exceptional condition whilst it almost exclusively features ‘one-of-a-kind’ watches and pocket watches, all produced either in limited series, as special editions or as a bespoke order.

He is considered one of the leading collectors of Patek Philippe watches, owning almost all models, a wide range from vintage classics to modern masterpieces, including iconic models like the “Calatrava '' models. From original 1940s classics to unique commissions made in the 2000s, ”Nautilus” editions and more. Among these treasures is” the Platinum Tourbillon Observatory” pocket watch from 1932, a marvel of precision and craftsmanship. and the one of kind Patek Philippe ref: 530R GOBBI (1955) with the retailer’s name (Gobbi Milano).
