Audemars Piguet’s exclusive editions for the middle east
Audemars Piguet has partnered with its collectors from the United Arab Emirates to unveil three exceptional watches dedicated to the Middle East. For the first time in watchmaking history, collectors had the rare opportunity to contribute their creative ideas to the AP design teams during a “Create the Extraordinary” workshop held in Dubai in June 2022. The caseback of each piece is engraved with the words “Special Edition” and “Create the Extraordinary”.
The first watch introduces a fresh aesthetic for the iconic Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, combining titanium with Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG), a first for this complication. Crafted by Audemars Piguet, the palladium-based BMG is used for the bezel, caseback frame, and bracelet studs, offering exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion. The case measures 41mm in diameter with an ultra-thin profile of just 6.2mm.
The dial features an elegant smoked ivory finish, adorned with white gold Eastern-Arabic numerals and hands. It is powered by the ultra-thin automatic Calibre 5133 movement, operating at 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz) and providing a power reserve of 40 hours.
The watch features a titanium case with a BMG bezel and caseback, measuring 41mm in diameter and 6.2mm in thickness. The dial has a smoked ivory color, with rhodium subdials, white gold Eastern Arabic numerals, and luminescent hands. It displays hours, minutes, and a Perpetual Calendar that tracks the day, date, month, leap year, moonphase, and day/night cycle. The titanium bracelet is adorned with BMG studs and secured by an AP folding clasp. Powered by the Calibre 5133 automatic movement, it has a thickness of 2.9mm, a 40-hour power reserve, and operates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz).
Next, we have one of Audemars Piguet’s most iconic and beloved timepieces: the 41mm Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked, now presented for the first time in a case and bracelet entirely crafted from white ceramic. The case measures 9.7mm in thickness and features sapphire crystals on both the front and back.
The openworked dial introduces a new feature in Audemars Piguet, a striking blue aventurine inner bezel that elegantly frames the rhodium-toned openworked movement. White gold hour markers and blackened Royal Oak hands with luminescent material enhance the dial’s contrast and ensure optimal legibility in low light conditions. This timepiece is powered by the automatic Calibre 3132, which offers a power reserve of 45 hours and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz).

Its openworked dial showcases a blue aventurine inner bezel, white gold indices, and blackened white gold Royal Oak hands with luminescent material. The bracelet is crafted from white ceramic and is secured with an AP folding clasp. Powered by the Calibre 3132 automatic movement, it has a thickness of 4.4mm, a 45-hour power reserve, and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz).
The final release presents a refined interpretation of the 41mm Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon, combining black ceramic with a stainless steel case to achieve a sporty two-tone aesthetic. The black ceramic highlights the case middle and crown, while the stainless steel adorns the bezel, lugs, and caseback. The case itself measures 11.76mm in thickness.
The meteorite dial showcases a distinctive stratified pattern, making each timepiece entirely unique. A gray inner bezel enhances the dial’s cohesive tones, while rhodium-toned pink gold Eastern Arabic numerals and baton hour markers lend an air of sophistication. Adding to its allure, a hand-finished flying tourbillon is positioned at 6 o’clock. This watch is powered by the Calibre 2950, an automatic movement with a 65-hour power reserve, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
