Dijkman Watches traces its roots back to Holke Dijkman, a highly skilled watchmaker with a rich background in horology. His journey began as a clock repairer in 1985 and later specialized in optical and mechanical instruments during his time in the Army. in 2001 that Holke embarked on a significant collaboration with Christiaan van der Klaauw Astronomical Watches, which greatly influenced the brand's development. His expertise was further showcased during his three-year tenure at Van der Gang Watches, where he excelled in watch assembly and repair.
Holke Dijkman's passion and mastery of horology are reflected in the exceptional timepieces he creates. Notable creations include the elegant "Classic" regulator, featuring an 18-carat gold-plated case, an Invar pendulum bar, and a precise 40-day movement. The "New York" regulator, on the other hand, stands out with its open-ended movement, 15-day power reserve, and Invar pendulum bar. Additionally, Holke collaborated with Christiaan van der Klaauw on a remarkable table watch that combines timekeeping with a heliocentric planetarium display, all encased in premium materials like precious steel, granite, and leather.
