Chronoswiss Unveils the Striking Strike Two Terra

At Watches and Wonders 2024 in Geneva, Chronoswiss unveiled the Strike Two collection, featuring two remarkable models: the H2O and the Golden GearIn our exclusive interview with Chronoswiss CEO Oliver Ebstein, we explored this collection's innovative spirit. Marking a departure from the brand’s traditional vertical regulator design, the Strike Two series introduces a horizontal regulator layout—a bold evolution that retains the brand's iconic identity.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Tora watch of the 1990s, Chronoswiss now presents the latest addition to the Strike Two collection: the Terra Limited Edition. As its name suggests, this model channels the allure of Earth’s terrains, showcased in its stunningly textured dial.

Introducing Yema Expands the Wristmaster Collection with Four New Timepieces

Elegant releases with the brand’s ultra-thin caliber

The independent brand Yema was established in 1948, and is nestled in Morteau, just steps away from the Swiss border. This family-run brand, now in its third generation under the Bôle family, continues to honor its heritage while pushing the boundaries of French watchmaking, supported by a team of highly skilled artisans dedicated to traditional techniques. We previously talked about Yema during its collaboration with the renowned artist Alain Silberstein.

In 2021, the brand revived its iconic Wristmaster collection and released the Wristmaster Adventurer and Traveller, both powered by the in-house YEMA2000 caliber. Building on this success, Yema introduced its ultra-thin CMM.20 micro-rotor movement in 2022, making its debut in the Wristmaster collection as a Limited Edition. Now, Yema returns to expand this line with the Wristmaster Slim CMM.20 joining the permanent collection, including one featuring striking black aesthetics available as a limited edition.

The watches in the collection share several key features, including a 316L stainless steel case, a 39mm diameter, and a slim 9.00mm thickness. Both sides are fitted with sapphire crystals, and the bezel design is inspired by a Yema Sous-Marine model from the 1980s. However, the variants differ in their finishing. The limited edition is coated with black PVD, extending across the dial, case, bracelet, and even the caliber bridges, which are hand-finished using hand-brushed techniques, and each piece in this edition is individually crafted. In contrast, the other variants feature a naked steel case, showcasing a stunning mix of brushed and polished finishes for a more classic aesthetic.

The dial of the black edition is hand-brushed to create textures with varying directions and intensities, followed by a black PVD coating for a sleek finish. In contrast, the dials of the other variants draw inspiration from natural patterns, reflecting the essence of sea waves, desert sand ripples, and wind-carved patterns rendered in shades of gray, blue, and golden yellow. All variants feature applied indices and faceted hands with a polished finish, both treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility.

The CMM.20 is an automatic manufacture movement that delivers a daily rate of -3/+7 seconds per day. This movement is 3.7 mm thick, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), providing 70 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with a stainless steel integrated bracelet with a butterfly buckle.

The black edition, limited to just 200 pieces, is priced at USD 2,449, which is approximately AED 9,000. However, the other variants, which join the permanent collection, are available at a price of USD 2,249, approximately AED 8,260.
