Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Urwerk Unveils the UR-150 Blue Scorpion

A limited edition distinguished by striking blue aesthetics

Urwerk has long stood as one of the most exclusive names in modern independent Swiss watchmaking, recognized for pushing boundaries with avant-garde designs and groundbreaking complications. The maison is celebrated for its creative mastery of the wandering hours complication, a display dating back to the 17th century that shows time using rotating discs or “satellites” instead of traditional hands. Today, as part of its participation at Geneva Watch Days 2025, Urwerk unveils the limited-edition UR-150 Blue Scorpion.

The watch is housed in a case measuring 42.5 mm wide, 51 mm long, and 14.8 mm thick. Its middle section is crafted from steel with sandblasted, and satin finishes, while the caseback is executed in Grade 5 titanium with a satin texture. A domed sapphire crystal tops the case, and the crown is set at 12 o’clock.

The dial comes alive with Urwerk’s signature wandering hours complication. Three hour satellites, mounted on a flying carousel, rotate continuously. A retrograde minute hand travels across a 240° arc and resets in under one-hundredth of a second framing the active satellite from 0 to 60. At the top of the hour, the hand snaps back instantly as the satellites pivot and rotate into their new positions in a sequence too fast for the eye to catch. The dial is enhanced with blue ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) treatment, sandblasted textures, and hand-painted Super-LumiNova on the numbers and indices.

Powering the watch is the automatic calibre UR-50.01, regulated by a double-turbine system, one set of turbines controls the winding system by regulating airflow to prevent the automatic rotor from spinning too fast or too slowly, while the second set absorbs external shocks to protect the movement. The calibre operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 43 hours.

The UR-150 Blue Scorpion is paired with a high-performance hybrid rubber strap that integrates seamlessly with the case and secures with a folding clasp. Limited to 50 pieces, it is priced at CHF 90,000, approximately AED 410,900.
