Colorful Dials in Classic Cases Inspired by Vintage Designs
Tissot is a renowned Swiss watchmaking brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1853. As part of the Swatch Group, Tissot blends traditional Swiss craftsmanship with modern technology. The brand has launched several collections, including the PR516 collection, which previously featured the “PR516 Chronograph”. Today, we will be showcasing its latest version, the "PR516 Powermatic 80," available in four colors.
The watch features a 38mm diameter, an 11.18mm thickness, and a 44mm lug-to-lug measurement. It has a stainless steel case with a brushed finish and polished bevels on the sides, creating a sleek yet durable design. The bezel is black or blue or black with yellow gold PVD coating and indices with a 60 minute scale, and is protected by a mineral glass insert. The sapphire crystal atop the dial is scratch-resistant and features an antireflective coating, enhancing visibility. A see-through caseback offers a view of the movement inside, and the watch is water resistant to 100m.
The watch is available in four different colors, each with its own unique features. The first version features a black dial with a red seconds hand, paired with a black bezel. The second version has the same black dial but with a yellow seconds hand, also matched with a black bezel. The third version showcases a blue dial with a red seconds hand, complementing the blue bezel. All three of these versions include silver hour and minute hands, as well as silver indices. The fourth version stands out with a white dial, black seconds hand, and a black-and-gold bezel. It also has gold hour and minute hands, along with gold indices.
All models are equipped with Super-LumiNova coated hands and indices for improved visibility in low light. Additionally, the minute track is printed on the bezel in either black for the white dial or black for other versions and the date window at 3 o'clock.
The watches are powered by the Swiss automatic Powermatic 80 movement, caliber 11 1/2''', which offers an impressive power reserve of up to 80 hours. Equipped with a patented Nivachron balance spring, this movement enhances resistance to magnetic fields and improves overall durability. With a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz).
The four watches are available with a variety of strap options to suit different styles and preferences. One option features a stainless steel strap in a sleek grey color. Another choice offers a classic blue or light brown leather strap. There's a stainless steel bracelet with a PVD coating in a sophisticated combination of grey and yellow gold.
The watches are priced at USD 795 (equivalent to AED 2,900) for the white dial version with a bracelet, USD 725 (equivalent to AED 2,660) for the black dial version with a bracelet, and USD 650 (equivalent to AED 2,400) for the black or blue dial versions with a leather strap.
