Introducing Breguet Releases the Type XX Chronograph 2067 gold
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Another milestone by the indie Emarati brand
The world of watchmaking continues to expand beyond traditional boundaries, with new independent brands emerging and making bold statements in the industry. A perfect example is Vyntage Horology, an Emirati brand with Swiss craftsmanship that took the horological world by surprise with its debut at Dubai Watch Week 2023. Under the leadership of the Seddiqi family and Mr. Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi’s guidance, Vyntage Horology introduced its first creations, the Monograph and Purity, captivating enthusiasts with a classic style that reflects the rich heritage of our Arabic culture. Today, the brand continues to expand its catalog with two new limited editions, the Purity Dusk and Monograph Dawn.
Let's begin with the intricate Monograph Dawn, a watch with colors inspired by the sunrise, as suggested by its name, "Dawn." Housed in a 904L stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and 14.2mm in thickness, it features a domed sapphire crystal that protects the dial and a flat sapphire crystal on the case back, offering a view of the movement. The Monograph Dawn stands out with its stunning salmon-colored dial, adorned with hammered finishes and hand-applied Roman numerals. It also boasts a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, which is operated via a monopusher at 2 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock.
The watch is powered by a Swiss hand-wound cam movement, operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers a 48-hour power reserve. It comes with a gray calfskin leather strap, along with an additional matte black rubber strap, both secured by a stainless steel pin buckle. The Monograph Dawn is limited to just 25 pieces and is priced at AED 32,500.
The second watch we have today is the simple yet elegant Purity Dusk, a limited edition of just 50 pieces. It features a 904L stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter and 10.8mm in thickness, offering a perfect fit on the wrist. What sets this watch apart is its distinctive crown positioned at 4 o'clock and its striking hammered smoked green dial, which subtly reflects the city’s night lights. The dial is enhanced by hand-applied curved silver indices and a small seconds sub-dial at 7 o'clock.
Powered by a Swiss hand-wound movement operating at 21,600 vph (3Hz), the Purity Dusk offers an impressive 90-hour power reserve. It comes with a purple curved calfskin leather strap and an additional matte black rubber strap, both secured with a stainless steel pin buckle. The watch is priced at AED 23,900.
