Paying homage to one of Venice’s most historic buildings, the Arsenale
Venezianico is a young Italian brand founded by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli, who have poured their passion for watchmaking into creating timepieces that truly capture the essence of their hometown, Venice. With each release, they pay homage to this enchanting city, rich in history and culture. Now, the brand is releasing the Arsenale, which pays tribute to one of Venice’s most historic buildings, the Arsenale, renowned as Europe’s oldest forge of ideas. This innovative watch symbolizes the spirit of creativity and craftsmanship, featuring an elegant design and integrated bracelet, available in three versions.
Constructed in 1104, the Arsenale of Venice was a groundbreaking example of industrial organization. Utilizing advanced techniques for its era, the republic of Venice achieved impressive naval production, establishing itself as a significant maritime and industrial power. With its assembly line processes and innovative machinery, the Arsenale introduced a new industrial paradigm that influenced the world for centuries. Inspired by this legacy, the Morelli brothers created a watch that pays tribute to this historic site, the Arsenale timepiece, which embodies the technical precision and elegant design that have long characterized the Arsenale.

The watch features a refined 40mm case crafted from 316L stainless steel, showcasing a blend of polished and satin finishes. Flat surfaces alternate with polished bevels, creating a sleek and minimalist aesthetic. With a thickness of just 8.95 mm, the design remains slim and sophisticated. The dial is safeguarded by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating for optimal clarity. One of the watch's standout elements is its polished steel bezel with a knurled texture, inspired by the two iconic towers that guard the entrance to the historic shipyard. This design, which replicates the exact pattern on the towers, serves as more than an aesthetic touch; it’s a symbolic nod to the historical and technological significance of the Arsenale. Additionally, the engraved caseback, depicting the Arsenale’s towers.
The dial showcases a stunning vertical Côtes de Genève finish, available in Blue, Anthracite, and Violet tones. At 12 o’clock, the brand’s logo is prominently displayed, while skeletonized dauphine hands and slender baton-shaped indices elegantly accent the dial. Powering the watch is the ultra-thin Miyota 9029 caliber, an automatic movement measuring 3.90mm in thickness, operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offering a 42-hour power reserve.
The watch is paired with the Canova Concept steel bracelet, an evolution of Venezianico’s signature design. Redesigned to elevate both style and comfort, the bracelet retains its original structure, defined by alternating concave and convex shapes. The links have been updated with a flatter, more contemporary profile, featuring two polished bevels that create a striking contrast against the satin-finished surfaces. All trio share the price of EUR 800, which is equivalent to AED 3,300.
