Two Artistic Creations Celebrating Swiss Craftsmanship and Watchmaking Heritage
Since its debut in spring 2024, TAOS has been making unique watches in its own way, creating one-of-one timepieces that focus on artisanal techniques only the human hand can bring to life. TAOS operates at the very summit of creativity and rarity, with an exacting approach to craftsmanship that leaves no detail overlooked. For these new editions, TAOS collaborates with Ateliers Olivier Vaucher, one of the most esteemed dial-making workshops in Swiss watchmaking. Two watches are presented: Tuxedo, elegant and masculine, and Gala, sumptuous, flamboyant, and among the most overtly feminine pieces in the Maison’s repertoire.
Today, eighteen months after the birth of the brand, every TAOS creation remains, as ever, a true one-off. The 2025 creations draw inspiration from the world of haute couture and precious textiles, transposed to the intimacy of the wrist.
Engraving, enamel, gem-setting, feather art, painting on mother-of-pearl… each craft is summoned, combined, and elevated to compose miniature tableaux, each powered by a Swiss mechanical caliber of rare distinction, finely hand-engraved to echo the artistry of the dial.
Each piece is housed in a gold case measuring 38 mm in diameter and 10 mm in thickness, crafted in 18K white gold for Tuxedo or 5N rose gold for Gala, with diamond-set versions available depending on the theme of each dial.
Tuxedo: Dominant tones of blue and black. Grand Feu paillonné enamel composed of four layers of silver leaf and enamel, with a gradient of blue. Requires 5 to 6 Grand Feu firings.
Gala: Dominant shades of rose, purple, and garnet. Features paillonné enamel, hand engraving, engraving on mother-of-pearl, feather art, multi-layer construction, and gem-setting.
Both watches feature leaf-shaped gold hands, gently cambered, hand-beveled, and mirror-polished.
Both unique watches are powered by the automatic caliber VOP318. This movement operates at 4 Hz and offers a comfortable three-day power reserve.
While its components undergo meticulous hand-decoration at Atelier Vaucher, with up to 150 hours dedicated to each movement, the caliber VOP318 itself is engineered by Telos. Based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Telos is a distinguished designer and producer of high-grade niche movements.
Each watch comes with a blue or burgundy alligator-style strap, hand-sewn in Geneva with visible saddle stitching, and fastened by an 18K gold pin buckle of exclusive TAOS design. The Tuxedo and Gala are unique pieces, priced at Tuxedo 140,000 CHF which is equivalent to 642,300 AED, Gala 150,000CHF which is equivalent to 688,150 AED
