Introducing SpaceOne Revives Its Astronomical Timepiece: The Tellurium

The Futuristic Design Returns in Two New Limited Editions

A few months ago, the French brand SpaceOne released its second watch, Tellurium, a wristwatch that displays the movement of the Earth, Moon, and Sun. Designed by Olivier Gamiette, an engineer and designer renowned for his futuristic dials. The watch garnered widespread acclaim after its design succeeded and it was nominated in the "Challenge" category of the GPHG awards, one of the most innovative and challenging categories, thanks to its strict price criteria of under 3,000 CHF. With a philosophy rooted in creating futuristic designs and groundbreaking ideas, the brand is dedicated to making high-end luxury watches accessible at affordable prices. Now, the independent brand unveils two new limited editions to carry forward the legacy of this futuristic design.

The name Tellurium refers to a mechanical mechanism crafted to replicate the movements of the Earth, Moon, and Sun, aimed at illustrating the timing of day and night and the changing of seasons, all influenced by the Earth's rotation on its axis and orbit around the Sun. In the past, telluriums were used to showcase these celestial phenomena and determine the lunar calendar, until the French company successfully incorporated it into a wristwatch.

The watches features a grade 5 titanium case that is brushed and sandblasted, comes in two editions with is blue and black thanks to PVD coating.

with dimensions of 50mm in length, 42mm in width, and a height of 16mm. The crown is positioned at 12 o'clock. Its unique shape sets it apart from traditional timepieces, and you can admire the beautiful dial through a domed sapphire crystal.

The SpaceOne Tellurium dial features an aventurine disk in blue or black hue, decorated with titanium stars. At its center are the hours and minutes hands, while the eye-catching design is the Sun and around it is a planetary wheel displaying  the Earth and Moon. The Earth completes its orbit in one year, while the Moon follows its 29.5-day cycle. At the 6 o'clock position, a calendar display linked to the tellurium system shows a sliding month and a jumping date. The dial layout has three indices at 4, 8, and 12 o'clock.

The SpaceOne Tellurium is powered by the Soprod P024 H4 automatic movement, with the patented Tellurium complication module. This movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve.

Both editions are Limited to 200 pieces each, priced at EUR 2,990 which is equivalent to AED 11,850.
