Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Hermès Unveils the Slim d’Hermès Cheval Brossé

A Grand Feu Enamel Dial Showcasing the Elegance of Abstract art

Hermès unveils a new addition to its Slim d’Hermès collection, a line first conceived in 2015 by Philippe Delhotal as a study in disciplined elegance, defined by refined proportions and effortless sophistication. The latest edition, ‘’Cheval Brossé’’ French for “brushed horse”, features a stunning grand feu enamel dial, adorned with a meticulously executed design using the pad-printing technique.

This understated timepiece displays only hours and minutes, arriving just days after Hermès introduced new editions in its Arceau collection, which focused on complicated watches in five different variations.

Crafted from white gold, the Slim d’Hermès Cheval Brossé retains the 39.5 mm case dimensions of the original Slim model, maintaining its sleek 7.5 mm thickness. The case is protected by sapphire crystal on both sides, ensuring durability while preserving its elegant profile.

At the heart of this creation is a stylized reinterpretation of a horse, designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, a longtime creative collaborator of the maison. This artistic composition aligns with Hermès’ 2025 theme, "Drawn to Craft," serving as an invitation to explore the brand’s passion for craftsmanship and artistry.

The Cheval Brossé dial is a testament to artisanal expertise, blending traditional grand feu enamel with the precision of pad printing. The base is meticulously hand-applied with crushed colored glass powder mixed with natural oils, dried, and fired in a kiln to stabilize the pigments.

The horse motif is then brought to life through multiple layers of color, applied one at a time using the pad-printing technique. The design is first engraved onto a hollow base, known as a cliché or image plate, which is filled with paint. A flexible pad carefully transfers each color onto the dial, using subtle layering to achieve the perfect depth and brilliance.

Beneath the artistry lies the ultra-thin automatic caliber H1950, manufactured in Hermès’ workshops. Beating at 21,600 VPH (3 Hz), it offers a 48-hour power reserve. This micro-rotor movement has been a hallmark of the Slim d’Hermès line and has also been featured in some of the maison’s renowned pocket watches.

The Slim d’Hermès Cheval Brossé is paired with a matte Bleu Abysse alligator strap, secured by a white gold pin buckle. This highly exclusive timepiece is limited to just 24 pieces, with pricing available upon request.
