A Blend of Modern and 1960’s Vintage Elegance, with black hue In a smaller case
Oris is one of the few independent Swiss watch manufacturers that offers a wide range of watch collections, including diving watches, aviation watches, and classic dress watches. One of its iconic collections is the "Divers Sixty-Five," inspired by vintage diving watches from the 1960s.
The Divers Sixty-Five watch featured a retro design with a round stainless steel case, prominent lugs, and a unidirectional rotating bezel. The dial often showcases vintage-inspired details like oversized indices and hands coated with luminescent material for good visibility underwater.
In 2015, the Divers Sixty-Five collection was reintroduced to the market, remaining a faithful reissue of the original Oris dive watch released in 1965. The watch features a stainless steel case with a diameter of 40mm, drawing its design cues and inspiration from the vintage dive watches of that era.
And in 2019, Oris launched The first non-limited Divers Sixty-Five chronograph taking design elements from” The bronze Carl Brashear chronograph” that was released in 2018, a tribute to Carl Brashear, the first African American to become a U.S. Navy Master Diver, creating a 43mm watch crafted from steel, adorned with bronze and rose gold accents.
Going back to 2023, Oris introduces the new Divers Sixty-Five chronograph in a smaller, polished and brushed stainless steel case, measuring 40mm in diameter and 15.4mm in thickness. It features vintage-style chronograph pushers under a black unidirectional bezel with a black aluminum insert and a screwed caseback, with water resistance up to 100 meters.
The black allure seamlessly extends from the bezel to the bi-compax dial, which features a 30-minute indicator at 3 o’clock, and running seconds positioned at 9 o’clock, with applied indices and hands coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring legibility in any lighting condition.
The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph is powered by the Oris Caliber 771, an automatic chronograph movement known for its reliability and accuracy based on the Sellita SW 510. Providing 48 hours of power reserve, and operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz).
