A limited edition timepiece for the 21st Saxony Classic rally race
Union Glashütte was founded in 1893 by Johannes Dürrstein in the Saxon town of Glashütte, Germany, and is renowned for its blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation in watchmaking. This year, one of the most famous events in Germany will be held in Saxon town: the 21st Saxony Classic, a classic car rally race through Saxony, launching from August 15 to 17, 2024. To mark this occasion, Union Glashütte is presenting a new limited edition timepiece, the Noramis Chronograph Sachsen Classic 2024, featuring hues reminiscent of motorsport in the 70s and 80s.
The watch comes in a round stainless steel 316L case measuring 42mm in diameter and 14.5mm in thickness. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with a non-reflective coating on both faces. Additionally, the timepiece offers a see-through case back with sapphire crystal, providing a clear view of the intricate movement within.
The white dial features orange and light blue accents, evoking the style of vintage motorsports. The counters are in light blue, while the chronograph hands and the tachymeter scale showcase a striking orange color, and the hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova. The dial displays the 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock and the small seconds sub-dial with a date window at 9 o'clock.

The watch is powered by the UNG-27.S2 caliber, an automatic movement that offers 60 hours of power reserve and comes with a silicon balance spring. It comes with a blue calfskin leather strap with holes and an orange underside. The Noramis Chronograph Sachsen Classic 2024 is limited to 350 pieces and priced at EUR 3,600, equivalent to AED 14,500.
