A new style and aesthetic for the sporty collection from the Italian house
Ancient Rome serves as an enduring source of inspiration for Bulgari, which skillfully transforms architectural motifs from the past into stylish designs. In 2012, the brand introduced the Octo Roma collection, drawing inspiration from the octagonal coffering found on the vaults of the 4th-century Basilica of Maxentius in the Roman Forum. This resulted in a timepiece distinguished by its curves and a rounded octagonal shape, showcasing Bulgari's sophisticated design aesthetic.
Last year, the brand revisited the Octo Roma, refining the case into a more rounded shape and redesigning the bezel and lugs. Additionally, Bulgari expanded the collection to include a chronograph model, while the dials received a new clous de Paris pattern. This year, the brand introduces two new additions to the Octo Roma collection, a time-and-date model and a chronograph, both boasting a sleek all-black aesthetic.
The Octo Roma models feature black DLC stainless steel cases. The case of the time and date variant measures 41mm in diameter and 9.15mm in thickness, while the chronograph variant comes in a slightly larger case measuring 42mm in diameter and 12.4mm in thickness. Both watches are equipped with a screw-down crown with a black ceramic tip and crown guards, as well as sapphire crystals on the front and back, ensuring water resistance up to 100m.

Both watches feature a black Clous de Paris dial, with hands, indices, and numerals treated with Super-LumiNova. The time and date variant displays hands and a date window positioned at 3 o'clock. However, the chronograph features a tri-compax dial and a tilted date window positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock.

The time and date variant is powered by the in-house Caliber BVL 191, while the chronograph is powered by the in-house Caliber BVL 399. Both movements are automatic, operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offer a 42-hour power reserve. The new Octo Roma releases are paired with black interchangeable textured rubber straps featuring a Clous de Paris motif and a pin buckle, along with an additional black alligator strap. The time and date variant is priced at EUR 8,900, which is equivalent to AED 35,000, while the chronograph is priced at EUR 10,900, equivalent to AED 43,000.
