Introducing HYT Launches the T1 Guilloché and S1 Titanium Collection

Featuring a Limited-Edition Hand-Decorated Dial and Three New Addition to the S1 Collection

The unique hydromechanical time display of the HYT watch is an innovative technology that made a significant impact when it was first unveiled in 2012. However, its inspiration dates back centuries, even before the advent of mechanical timepieces. The concept of displaying time using fluids was inspired by ancient Egyptian civilization, where the earliest known water clock dates back to between 1417 and 1379 BCE. HYT took this original principle and transformed it into wearable wristwatch technology.

In modern times, the original idea of using fluids to display time was conceived by Swiss engineer Lucien Vouillamoz, who holds 118 patent applications, with 24 registered in his name. He introduced this concept in the late 1990s, and it took over a decade to bring it to life, eventually leading him to establish the HYT brand.

Now, in 2025, HYT continues its legacy by unveiling new models and contemporary design elements, all while staying true to the brand’s DNA. The brand has presented the limited-edition T1 Titanium Guilloché, of which only eight pieces will be produced, featuring a dial hand-engraved using traditional techniques. HYT has also revealed three new open-dial models from the Titanium S1 collection, with this trio joining the brand’s permanent lineup.

To display the time, the watch features a central minute hand and a small power reserve indicator positioned at 2 o’clock, aligned with the crown. There is also a small seconds subdial, located between 9 and 10 o’clock, which is exclusive to the S1 models. As for the hours, they are indicated using the signature fluid-filled capillary system, with the color of the liquid varying depending on the edition.

The T1 edition comes with a blue dial adorned with traditional hand-applied guilloché on a brass base, while the hours are indicated by a black-colored fluid. On the other hand, the trio of S1 editions features open-worked dials, with the hours displayed in blue or green fluid for the black DLC-coated cases, and green fluid for the sandblasted-finish silver-tone case.

Both watches are powered by the hand-wound calibre 501-CM, first introduced in 2012 and used in many of the brand’s models. Composed of 352 components, this movement is finished and decorated using traditional haute horlogerie techniques. Most components are treated and coated in black after being sandblasted and satin-brushed. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of up to 72 hours.

All watches come with two strap options: a luxurious blue alligator leather strap and a sporty pure black rubber strap. Both are secured with a titanium pin buckle finished with sandblasting.

The T1 Titanium Guilloché edition, limited to just eight pieces, is priced at 64,000 Swiss francs, approximately 275,400 AED, while the S1 series joins the brand’s permanent collection with a price of 58,000 Swiss francs, around 249,000 AED.
