A Limited Edition in Collaboration with Bamford Celebrates the Iconic Dive Watch from the 1960s
The 1960s marked an era of bold innovation in technology, design, and aesthetics. Amid the intensity of the Space Race between the USA and the USSR, Girard-Perregaux introduced the Deep Diver Ref. 9108, a model defined by its distinctive 14-facet bezel and striking red dial. Its daring design would later echo in the creation of the Laureato, hinting at the brand’s evolving visual language.
Today, the Deep Diver makes a powerful return, bridging heritage and modernity in a collaborative creation with the Bamford Watch Department, the renowned watch customization house.
This new edition stays true to the original 1969 model with its cushion-shaped case, now crafted in lightweight Grade 5 titanium and measuring 40.30 mm by 38.00 mm. The twin crowns at 2 and 4 o’clock, nodding to the vintage reference, enhance both symmetry and functionality, a refined expression of Girard-Perregaux’s early case design ethos.
The 14-facet bezel revolutionary in its time returns as a stylistic precursor to the iconic Laureato introduced in 1975, reaffirming the Deep Diver’s place in the brand’s design lineage.
The dial draws inspiration from the bold aesthetic of the 1971 edition, showcasing vibrant blue, orange, and white hues. A retro-futuristic font, luminous hands and markers glowing bright blue in low light, and a rotating inner bezel (adjusted via the 2 o’clock crown) make for an instantly recognizable design. A discreet date window and subtle Bamford signatures further blend authenticity with contemporary appeal.
The Girard-Perregaux logo used on the dial reflects the era-specific branding, reinforcing the watch's vintage character with modern relevance.
Powering the Deep Diver is the GP03300 calibre, an in-house, self-winding movement crafted entirely in Girard-Perregaux’s La Chaux-de-Fonds manufacture. Measuring just 3.36 mm in height, it offers a power reserve of at least 46 hours and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).
The movement is finished to the brand’s exacting standards, featuring a circular Côtes de Genève on the rotor, linear Côtes de Genève bridges, polished bevels, mirror-polished screws, and circular graining. Gilded engravings add an extra layer of refinement. Visible through a blue metallized sapphire crystal caseback, the movement bears a trident motif, a tribute to Neptune, Roman god of the sea, symbolizing the Deep Diver’s aquatic legacy.

The rubber strap system allows for easy, tool-free changes. Each watch comes with a blue rubber strap and an additional orange strap, both secured with a titanium pin buckle.
Limited to just 350 pieces, the Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver Legacy Edition is priced at CHF 14,500, approximately AED 63,540.
