The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Cyrus Unveils The Klepcys Vertical Skeleton Tourbillon Malachite

A two piece limited edition timepiece with a beautiful green malachite stone dial

Founded in 2010 by a Swiss family of entrepreneurs, Cyrus has quickly carved a distinctive niche in its field. The brand draws from a rich heritage in the luxury sector and is fueled by a passion for fine timepieces, consistently pushing the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship. Here at Waqt, we’ve had the privilege of reviewing some of Cyrus' most remarkable creations, each one showcasing the brand’s inventive spirit and technical mastery. From the intricately designed Double Chronograph to the Ethereal Twin Orbital Tourbillon, Cyrus has consistently captivated with its bold designs.

In 2018, the brand released the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon, which has become one of its most well-known releases. As you’ve probably guessed from the name, its unique feature is the vertical-mounted tourbillon. A year later, Cyrus introduced a skeletonized version, followed by one with a stunning sapphire crystal case to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary. As 2024 marks the close of another chapter for Cyrus, the brand bids farewell to this year with a two-piece limited edition: the Klepcys Vertical Skeleton Tourbillon Malachite, featuring a unique green malachite stone dial.

The watch comes in an elegant cushion-shaped case crafted from 18K rose gold, measuring 44mm in diameter and 19.9mm in thickness, with a anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both the dial and case back. The timepiece features two crowns, the crown at 3 o'clock, which winds the movement in position 1 and adjusts the time in position 2, and the crown at 9 o'clock, which allows for hour adjustments with the press of a button.

The skeletonized dial features hours indicators displayed on arches set with malachite, framed in gold and marked with Arabic numerals. However, the retrograde hour and minute hands are plated in 4N gold with polished edges. The seconds are indicated by small numbered blocks on the tourbillon cage, with the 60-second marker highlighted in red. At 12 o’clock, a 5mm black DLC sphere shows the 4-day power reserve.

The watch is powered by calibre CYR625, an in-house hand-winding movement which operates at 21,600 vph (3Hz) and offers an impressive 100-hour power reserve, supplied by two barrels. It is paired with a green alligator leather strap and an 18K rose gold folding clasp.
