The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Cimier Unveils Four New Heritage Chronograph

Four vibrant dials inspired by the brand’s iconic Cimier Sport watch

Cimier is a prestigious Swiss watch brand with a rich heritage that dates back to 1924. The company was founded by the Swiss watchmaker Joseph Lapanouse in Hölstein, Switzerland. Initially, Cimier specialized in manufacturing pin-pallet escapement watches, robust, accurate, and affordable timepieces based on the innovative design by Georges-Frédéric Roskopf, a renowned German watchmaker.

Over the years, Cimier has built a strong reputation for its commitment to precision and craftsmanship. In 1929, Armand Lapanouse, Joseph's brother, made significant contributions to the brand by patenting a movement frame for the Roskopf watch, further solidifying the company's legacy in the world of horology.

Today, the brand continues to uphold its tradition of manufacturing durable and precise watches. In its latest releases, the brand has introduced four new watches from the Cimier 711 collection, available in four colors, including the "Cimier 711 Heritage Chronograph" watches.

The new collection of four watches draws inspiration from one of the brand’s most iconic models, the “Cimier Sport.” This simplified version of the chronograph allowed users to measure short time intervals by starting and stopping the independent central second hand. The modern reinterpretation retains all the features of a contemporary chronograph while incorporating design elements from the past.

The watches come in a tonneau-shaped stainless steel case with a polished bezel and vintage-inspired pump buttons located at 2 and 4 o'clock, adding a distinctive touch to its design. A box-shaped sapphire crystal provides protection for the dial and movement, while the case back is securely enclosed with a bezel held in place by eight screws. With a diameter of 39.5 mm, a thickness of 14.45 mm, and a lug-to-lug distance of 47 mm, the watch offers a balanced, sturdy feel on the wrist. Additionally, it boasts a water resistance of up to 100 meters, making it both stylish and functional for everyday wear.

The watch is available in four different dial colors, orange, pink, light blue, and apple green, each with a sand-blasted texture for added depth and visual appeal. Each color comes on a separate dial, allowing customers to choose their preferred hue. White telemeter scales are printed on the black ring at the edges, enhancing the sporty look, while the tachymeter scale in black circles the central hands, intersecting with the black snailed pattern of the sub-dials. The black printed minute track, complete with luminous indices, surrounds the bold SuperLumiNova numerals. Faceted hands, also filled with SuperLumiNova, ensure excellent legibility. Chronograph sub-dials are positioned at 11 o'clock for the 30-minute counter and 7 o'clock for the 12-hour counter. The second hand is color-coded to match the dial colors: blue for the pink and orange dials, and orange for the green and blue dials.

The watches are powered by the CIM 100 automatic chronograph movement, based on the renowned Valjoux 7750, offering exceptional precision and reliability. With a power reserve of 48 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vph (3Hz), this movement is composed of 253 components, ensuring both robustness and accuracy. The movement features exquisite Côtes de Genève decorations on the main panel, adding a touch of elegance and craftsmanship to the mechanical heart of the watch.

The watches are available with a black leather strap and pin buckle, a mesh bracelet with a folding clasp, or a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, with prices starting from CHF 2,480 (AED 10,900 approximately) to CHF 2,575 (AED 11,300 approximately).
