The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Berneron Unveils Tiger Eye and Lapis Lazuli Watches

Gemstone Dials in Yellow or White Gold Cases

Berneron, a Swiss brand founded by by Sylvain Berneron and his wife Marie-Alix Berneron in 2022. Sylvain is dedicated to developing technical and industrial knowledge, actively contributing to the watchmaking industry and the collectors’ community. With a focus on quality and sustainability, Berneron aims to set new standards while promoting innovation and customer satisfaction. The brand has presented several editions, and today we will introduce the latest offerings, two new watches from the “Mirage” collection, the “Tiger Eye” watch and the “Lapis Lazuli” watch.

The watch is available in a case option of either 18K Yellow gold or 18K white gold and features a newly designed aesthetic that balances modern femininity with understated masculinity. Its technical specifications include a case diameter of 30 x 34 mm, a lug to lug distance of 38 mm, and a thickness of 7 mm. The watch dial is protected by a hesalite glass with an anti-scratch coating on the front, but the case back is protected by sapphire with inner Anti Reflective coating, surrounded by a bezel secured by four screws. The crown, positioned at 4 o’clock, has an unusual shape and provides water resistance to a depth of 30 meters.

The dial of the Yellow gold case is crafted from the tiger eye, a natural stone celebrated for its golden brown hue and emerald like shimmer. This stone exhibits fibrous structures that enhance its distinctive look. Meanwhile, the white gold case boasts a dial made of lapis lazuli, known for its rich blue color, along with traces of calcite and pyrite that contribute to its unique characteristics. The small seconds subdial at 7 o’clock is hand carved, and the Yellow gold or white gold hands are designed with an elegant, swaying shape.

Both versions are powered by the Caliber .215 hand wound in house movement, featuring a mainplate and bridges crafted from 18K gold, all housed within a compact design that aligns with the case's shape. This sophisticated movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz) and boasts a power reserve of 72 hours, or three days. Its intricate decorations include Grené on the mainplate, guilloché on the bridges, and black polished accents on the screws, highlighting its meticulous craftsmanship.

The Yellow gold case is paired with a brown leather strap, while the white gold case comes with a black leather strap, both featuring a pin buckle. Both watches are priced at CHF 51,000, which is equivalent to AED 224,400.
