Red Gold and Midnight Blue in Harmony, with Meteorite Dial's Celestial Connection
The Luna Magna collection by Arnold & Son is a series of luxury watches that have garnered attention in the world of haute horlogerie. These timepieces are renowned for their characteristics, craftsmanship, innovative design, and their unique focus on displaying the moon phases that became evident in 2016 with the introduction of the HM Perpetual Moon, which returned in mid 2023, with a platinum case and a beautiful Celestial Blue dial.
At Watches & Wonders 2021, Arnold & Son unveiled their latest creation in the realm of complications, introducing the Arnold & Son Luna Magna, a crafted 18k pink gold timepiece with 3D moon phase that later on became a collection that introduced Luna Magna platinum, and white gold.
Now, The Luna Magna gets a polished 18k Red Gold case, with identical dimensions measuring 44mm in diameter and 15.90mm in thickness, along with a box sapphire with an anti reflective treatment on both sides, and 30m of water resistance.
The dial is created from a sizable disc colored in a blue shade using the PVD coating and made from ferrous meteorite material “Widmanstätten” pattern, a distinctive feature found in certain types of iron meteorites and some pallasites that refers to the solid fragments of celestial objects, such as asteroids, comets, or other space debris.
The dial holds a milky opal sub-dial positioned at 12 o’clock, displaying the hours and minutes with black Roman numerals and blued openworked hands, and at 6 o’clock lies the 3D moon phase based on precise astronomical reality. Arnold & Son has replicated the lunar cycle, which lasts 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.8 seconds. This replication is so precise that it will take 122 years for the watch's movement's display to deviate from the correct celestial reading by one day. The sub-dial and the moon part of the 3D moon phase are coated with green- blue Super-LumiNova.

Under the box sapphire case back lies the In-house A&S1021 caliber, a mechanical with manual winding movement that is used in Luna Magna collection with “Côtes de Genève” stripes radiating from the center. Operating at 21,600 vph (3Hz), and boosting 90 hours of power reserve, with a satin finished age of the moon indicator on the back.

The watch is limited to 38 pieces, and paired with a hand stitched ink alligator leather with electric blue alligator lining and 18k red gold pin buckle with titanium blades, with a price of CHF 59,000, which is equivalent to AED 242,000.
