Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Anoma Unveils the A1 Slate

The second chapter in the A1 series takes it to new heights

Founded in London in 2023, Anoma is a young brand that embraces unconventional design, drawing inspiration from art, architecture, and nature. Last year, the brand released its first watch, the A1, featuring a triangular case, an uncommon shape in the watch community compared to traditional circular or square cases. Now, Anoma opens a new chapter with the A1 Slate, continuing its distinctive approach to watchmaking with refined aesthetics.

Anoma’s A1 series challenges traditional watch design with its rounded triangular case, a shape influenced by modernist sculptures and mid-century furniture. The A1 Slate refines this concept further, incorporating a highly polished stainless steel case that interacts dynamically with light. Like its predecessor, the case measures 39mm x 38mm, though it wears smaller due to its unique form and lug-free construction. It also maintains a 9.45mm thickness, ensuring a sleek profile.

The most striking evolution in the A1 Slate is its black lacquered dial, which sets it apart from the original A1. This new version features a vertically brushed texture with hand-engraved triangular patterns, enhanced by three layers of deep black lacquer. The dial offers a time-only display, with modern, well-positioned indices that provide a fresh take on traditional layouts.

Powering the A1 Slate is the Swiss automatic Sellita SW100, operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and delivering a 38-hour power reserve. The watch comes fitted with a grey grained Italian leather strap, adding to its refined look. Unlike the original A1, which was produced as a limited edition, the A1 Slate joins the brand’s permanent collection. The first batch will be released on March 10, 2025, with deliveries beginning in May 2025. The Anoma A1 Slate is priced at £1,800, approximately AED 8,200.
