Louis Erard Collaborates with GoS on the Latest Edition of Le Régulateur

In December 2021, Louis Erard and GoS Watches were brought together by Manuel Emch, the visionary behind Louis Erard's strategic revival and creative transformation. He found a kindred spirit in Patrik Sjögren, watchmaker and founder of the Swedish atelier GoS, renowned for its mastery of Damascus steel.

Together, they envisioned a timepiece that would seamlessly blend the essence of both Maisons: the technical precision and aesthetic refinement of the Swiss Jura, married to the artistry of a Swedish forge, where Damascus steel is meticulously crafted into mesmerizing patterns through an almost alchemical process.

Glossary

brace or bridle

Is a thin, curved metal piece used to support and secure the balance wheel and its associated parts. It is typically made of a durable and corrosion-resistant material such as steel or specialized watch alloys. The shape of the brace or bridle is designed to ensure proper alignment and stability of the balance wheel, allowing it to oscillate freely within its designated range. The shape and materials of the brace or bridle may vary in watches depending on the watch movement and design.
